You know what I hate? I hate when one of my teammates is taken and held captive. I especially hate when that teammate is the one I'm most attached to.

I walked into the room and went to sit at my desk.

I looked over at Spencer's desk like I always do to greet him. It was empty.

I noticed nobody was at their desks so I went to the briefing room.

"Hey," I looked for Spencer but didn't see him. "Where's Spence?" I asked, sitting down prepared to be briefed.

"Spencer is our victim-" hotch spoke.

"What?? There's no way I just saw him a couple days ago."

"He's gone y/n. And we're going to find him."

"He-He can't just be Gone. What are our leads?"

"Are you sure this isn't too personal for you? We all know how much-"

"What are our leads?" I repeated myself.

Garcia pulled up the pictures and facts.

"He did leave us a voicemail. Let's listen to that." Garcia pushed a few buttons.

"Are you agent Reid?" A manly voice asked.

"Who are you?"

I heard a gun click. "Are you Spencer Reid with the FBI?"

"My name is Charlie Reddison, I don't work with the-"

"Liar!" The other voice yelled before a shot went off and the voicemail ended.

My eyes started watering and I ran out of the room and into the staircase to cry.

Was he dead? If he wasn't dead then he had to be hurt. Where is he?

Charlie Reddison sounded familiar.

I walked over to my desk and pulled out a stack of papers.

I looked through them and saw nothing. By now the team members were worried about me.

I walked over and started going through Reid's desk files.

"Y/n, come on, we don't know if he's-"

"Shut up Morgan. Spence has been reading up on a case from around here, Charlie Reddison is the name of the second victim regarding the killings that have been happening. Spencer probably found it out and they got him before he could tell."

I grabbed the right file and opened it up. I scattered the papers around neatly and saw a red circle around one name. Harry Goldberg.

I told Garcia to look him up and get his address.

"He owns a warehouse about twenty minutes from here."

"Okay. Half of us go to his house. The other half to the warehouse" hotch said.

"I'm coming to the warehouse it's more likely he's there."

Hotch nodded and we drove to the warehouse quickly. I got out of the car and Morgan busted the door open.

We had to split up since there were so many rooms, and I was removed to find him tied to a chair.

"Spence, are you awake?" I holstered my gun and kneeled down next to him, untying his hands and ankles.

He was alive, but had a bullet wound in his side.

"Come here, I'm getting you out." I held his hand and wrapped his arm around my shoulders, holding him up to help.

"Y/n, stop stop stop!" Spence's face contorted in pain.

"It hurts."

"I know it does, I know Spence, but we have to get you out of here before Harry comes back or-"

"Or what?" Harry said from behind me. I pulled my gun and told him to freeze.

"I'm not scared of you. You're a girl."

"I'm a woman, and you took this woman's soulmate and shot him. You should be very scared." I gave him evil eyes and he started to back away.

"Don't move or I will not hesitate to shoot your little caterpillar off." I aimed my gun at his crotch.

I slowly walked towards him and handcuffed him to a pipe.

"Morgan! I got them!" I yelled through the facility.

Morgan showed up and helped me carry Spencer to the ambulance while hotch stayed with the unsub.

"Which one of you is riding with us?"

"I am." I got into the ambulance.

"I knew you'd understand." Spencer mumbled.

"I listen to everything you say believe it or not. Sometimes you talk to yourself when you're really invested in a case. I love hearing you mumble about probability and statistics." I pushed his hair back as they started giving him pain medicine.

His face contorted once again in pain.

"You're gonna be okay, Spence. Okay?"

He slightly nodded and held my hand, squeezing it in pain whenever we would hit a bump or brake too fast.

"I need a distraction, uh do you have any books with you?"

"No, they're in the car at the warehouse. I can sing, do you want me to sing?"

"You're a horrible singer." He laughed.

"I sing bad on purpose so you guys won't ask me to do karaoke with you." I admitted.

I started singing lightly to him and after a minute or two we arrived at the hospital.

"I'll be here when you wake up I promise." I kissed his forehead and they rolled him into surgery.

I sat in his hospital room waiting. The others wanted to stay but they had families or pets to take care of and Morgan had to go back to the office to see Garcia and update her.

They wheeled him in around midnight and he looked so peaceful and serene. I scooted closer to him and held his limp hand.

"Spence I'm so sorry this happened to you. If I could trade places with you I would in a heartbeat. I love you so much, Spence."

"I love you too y/n." He opened his eyes with a small smile.

"I-I thought you were asleep from all the drugs."

"Nope. I woke up about half an hour after the surgery when the wheeled me in here."

"That's- wait did you say you loved me too?"

"You listen to me, You give me cute nicknames, you were my guardian Angel tonight and you have been since you came onto this team. How am I not supposed to fall in love with you." His fingers played with my hand.

"I wish I could take your pain away."

"Kiss me and we'll call it even."

That's so out of character for him but it's so hot.

"Yes sir." I smiled, leaned down, and connected our lips.

"When I get out do you want to go to lunch with me?"

"That's going to be a while. You'll still have to recover. We can't just go when you get out. But, we can stay in order food and watch movies or read books together."

"Sounds perfect."
