"Hurry up! How long does it take to get ready?" David asked me through the bathroom door.

"Well if you want me to look good enough to be your girlfriend, then about another half hour. I told you it was going to take me a while." I replied.

"You don't have to look like a model to be my girlfriend."

Oh thanks.

"I have to look like I'm trying."

People have been getting suspicious of our relationship because how him and Natalie act around each other for the vlogs. People have started shipping them more than us, and Jack wants us to go to this party and show people how great together we are.

"You look fine normally. Are you even dressed?"

"Yes."

"Then why can't I come in?"

"I was hoping you'd just stop asking questions and go away."

The door opened, which made me look at him.

I was putting on my lipgloss.

"Half an hour? Really?"

"Yeah yeah, I lied. Can we just go. I hate parties."

"Yeah. You look great by the way."

"Did I just hear you correctly?"

"I didn't say anything." He smiled.

When we got to Todd's party, it was already crowded.

I stuck to David for most of the beginning of the party, until Corinna came. I thought she would've already been here since her and Todd are together, but I guess not.

"Hey Rin!"

"Hey y/n! I love your outfit."

"Thank you. I'm glad your finally here, I needed a break from David." I whispered.

We went to the kitchen and got some drinks.

After about another hour of talking to Corinna, a guy came up to me.

"Hey."

"Hi." I smiled politely.

Corinna went to go find Todd so I was left alone.

"You look amazing." He looked me up and down.

"Thank you."

I didn't really want to be talking to this guy. I prayed for one of my friends to come save me.

"How do you know Todd?" He asked me.

"Oh, I'm dating his best friend." I casually slipped it in that I wasn't interested. "He's around here somewhere."

"I'm sure he is."

Does he think I'm playing hard to get.

He came closer to me and leaned against the wall.

"Could you back up? I'm not comfortable with you being so close."

"Oh come on, let's go upstairs and talk. It's too loud down here."

"I'm not stupid, now back off." I pushed past him and he grabbed my arm forcibly. There are so many people around yet none of them are doing anything.

"Don't do something you're gonna regret." He growled.

I looked around and locked eyes with David.

He immediately knew what was happening and he grabbed the attention of Todd and Scott before coming over to me.

"Is there a problem here?" Todd asked.

"No, not at all, she just had a bug on her arm. Right?" He smiled down at me.

"No, you were trying to force me to go upstairs and-"

"What? I would never do that!" The guy interrupted me.

"David, I'm not lying." I looked at my 'boyfriend'

"I know." He pulled me in and hugged me. Probably for show.

Todd and Scotty kicked the guy out and threatened to call the cops if he ever showed back up.

"Can we go home?"

I wanted to cry. I know nothing happened, but something would've if David hadn't have looked in my direction.

"Yeah, of course." He kissed the top of my head, again for show, and said goodbye to our friends.

We got into the Tesla and I stared at the window.

Tears fell down my cheeks silently. My makeup was definitely running, and I couldn't let David see me like that.

"I should've came in earlier."

"What?" I asked, still looking out of the window.

"I was watching you guys the whole time. I should've came over to you earlier."

I looked at him and he was focused on the road, his knuckles were white on the steering wheel.

"Why were you watching us?"

"Because you're my 'girlfriend' and you were talking to another guy."

"Oh..."

I thought it might have been because he cared about me talking to other guys for non-contract purposes.

I looked back out the window and reclined my seat all the way back. It wasn't too far of a drive, yet I was so drained and tired from tonight, and slightly drunk, that I just passed out.

I woke up in David's arms. He was carrying me to the bed. I nuzzled my head into neck/chest area. I could hear his heartbeat, and it brought me comfort. I dozed off again and didn't wake up until the next morning.
