Miles upon miles of sand was all he could see as Saitama trudged forward through the extreme heat of the desert.

For he was abandoned here by Kara for something he wasn't aware of.

All he really knew was that he pissed her off enough to not take him with her back to the tower.

He wish he knew what he did but for now he would blindly accept this punishment of sorts.

He honestly didn't like this situation because it reminded him of his introduction to the titans and the entire book fiasco.

He still has the book and he read it at least once a week.

He didn't know why, the overall story wasn't bad, but it also wasn't great either, the characters didn't have enough depth to really get an understanding of who the characters were as people, But It was because it was simple, because it was simple to understand, and had an ending he could understand, but overall the book was fine, and that was enough to satisfy him.

But once again he never had any real grandeur when it comes to his wants or goals.

Before it was for simple recognition for his deeds, now he was just happy to do it, to be able to be of service to the people and not be looked at with disgust or doubt.

He enjoyed the smiles on kids when they saw him, he enjoyed the acceptance and hellos from the people when they came across him.

To them he wasn't treated like a sports player who was doing a shitty job, he was a hero that was saving lives.

A hero that could be talked too.

And with the titans he could relate with them, they all have self doubts, personal problems, and emotional issues to settle, they have there own immaturites that they have to learn to get over, and he didn't mind being the person to set them straight and teach them.

The issue he was facing had nothing to do with the titans, his issues mostly had to do with himself.

His want to return home as been sated a bit by the titans because with them it felt like home.

He couldn't put his finger on it, in what way, how exactly could they remind him of home or make it feel like he was home.

The titans weren't anything like Genos, King, Tatsumaki, Fubuki, Bang, or Mumen.

His friends were his family and his family cared for him, trusted him, counted on him, and overall believed on him.

And saitama believes that is why he sees the titans as family, even though they didn't depend on him, they trusted him, and they learned from him, and in a way he saw them the same way.

They learned from each other, they trusted in each other, and now he was setting them straight.

But what was going on with him, what was happening to him, he knew Misery was back, but why.

Why was she back for him, what were those 4 red eyes in the sky in his dream. And why did he feel so lost.

His vision was blacking again, his mind deteriorating away as the darkness started taking over him.

But this time Saitama wasn't having it.

He wasnt going to allow his mind to fall again, not to this, whatever it was that was happening to him.

As he punched his head full force getting complete serious as the ground shook beneath him as the sounds of pops from his punches filled the soundscape.

The clouds cleared the skies through every punch, as he was now beating himself up rapidly putting every inch and effort into knocking the darkness away from his mind.

As he punches began to now do damage to him, he was able to punch open wounds to his head as the blood started to flow out.

Gushing from his head as the pain finally silenced the darkness, his mind was finally calm for this was his first successful attempt to keep himself at bay.

"Pain shouldn't be your answer to shudder it out, but it will do for the mean time" spoke a familiar voice as saitama turned to see Martian Manhunter.

"It was the only thing I can think of at the moment" said Saitama as he turned away allowing the current silence to calm his mind.

"Maybe, Constantine would be the person to speak to about it" said Martian Manhunter as he went to stand next to saitama.

"John has too many things on his plate to give me the time of day" said Saitama as he was about to walk away.

"Actually, you are one of the many things he's focused on right now, he's been working with Bruce and Clark on trying to get you back home to your world" spoke the martian.

"Bruce told me it was only him and you that knew about it, but I should have guessed that more would have been involved specially after the last failed attempt" said Saitama as he began to face palm sliding his hand down his face out of agitation.

"Diana is worried, your last few reports speak nothing of yourself and how your doing which is part of the report" said the martian.

"Your seeing why" said Saitama not looking at Martian manhunter as he then sat down in the sand.

"I don't know what going on with me J'onn, I think I'm losing it" spoke saitama finally being honest with himself as he was now with somone he could depend on.

"Please don't tell Diana" spoke saitama as he didn't want her to see him like this.

"I won't tell her, but when she finds out you're keeping this from her, I'm not going to bail you out" said the martian as he grabbed saitama by the shoulders and was now flying him back to jump city.

"Fine, I'll deal with it when the time comes, just keep your mouth shut" said Saitama as he was ready to deal with the future to come.

"But I am telling Constantine" spoke the martian as the rest of the flight remained silent.

To Be Continued.
