The Pain was gone, the worry was gone, all that is, was darkness.

As for the first time in a long while, Saitama felt completely at ease, no anger, no frustration, no sadness, as at this moment his small body was being held by misery in complete darkness.

She had taken his pain away, she had taken his anger away, she had taken all his worries away.

As Saitama rested within her arms, within her darkness.

As he remembered all the life's he took, all the people he let down, all the wrongs he made, all the mistakes he had made.

He didn't care.

Not one bit as he left it all to misery to take care of.

He was at peace as she whispered to him.

"What's wrong" said Misery with a caring loving voice that could calm the anguish of any tortured soul.

"I was just wondering, what now, where do we go from here" said Saitama as he opened his eyes to look at her dark crimson red orbs.

"Nowhere" said Misery as she enveloped Saitama a whole as he closed his eyes accepting his fate, to his darkness.

And when Saitama arrived back to reality he came face to face with a dark spire which took the form of a giant crow.

Saitama at this point didn't care much about the situation at hand anymore as he would allow fate to take it's course and he would deal with it when it came time to cross that bridge.

He was going to deal with it like he dealt with Boros, he didn't care about the situation of this Titan nor their son backstory, he was going to be one and done with it as soon as possible as he began running up the black stairs ascending up the path with his super Sonic like speeds.

But even though he was trying to block everything unnecessary out of his head, he couldn't help but look within Raven's Darkness.

As what Saitama saw before him was the tragedy of Raven and her pitiful existence.

From her very birth by her mother and Trigon, to her destiny of dooming anyone and everyone she dared come near.

She was a bad omen, the inevitable end, The Daughter of Evil itself.

Saitama saw the formation of the Titans between her, Starfire, Beast boy, Cyborg, and Robin.

She saw the crude and abundant start of this team, from the ups and downs she had been on with them, to the unbearable tragedies to the very abandonment of members.

She had from being alone, to not being alone, to being alone again, and then returning back to those who cared for her.

She had killed by her own hands or by the hands of her father that she would could never ever be forgiven for as she felt the horrors of her father's handy work crawl up her very being, as the souls that were ended would end up haunting her, no matter how much she ran or pointed to go haunt her father instead, it all failed.

For Raven their was no peace, only blight moments of hope, as her fate was designated to Trigon, she was his tool and would always be for that was her fate.

A fate she would always try to fight against, a fate that she would always have to fight against.

To fight to have friends, to fight to have a place to call home, to fight to have peace, this was her life, and their was no escape.

For Saitama, he understood the feeling of being trapped by fate, to having a life to want to escape from, he understood the want to defy fate, yet he had accepted and left everything to misery.

He was tired of having to left the pain and sorrow on his own, he was tired of denying everything wrong he had done in his life, he was threw with guilt, threw with dissapointment, threw with depression and anger, he was threw with sadness.

He was tired of putting himself through it every single day, so he let misery take it from him, he allowed misery to do as she pleased so he could have his peace.

A peace he did not deserve.

This girl was in a cycle of suffering by her own father her own flesh and blood, Saitama had no business in this assortment.

As Saitama then realized he had made it to the top of the spire he came face to face with a black church.

He felt a dark aura from this place as his anxiety was building, he could simply ignore the world as misery had instructed him.

He entered the church to see the place was in ruin, dirty glass windows which happened to have Raven's memories, chipped and broken benches that haven't been sat in ages, and the smell of mold and dust plagued the entire facility.

It was dark, gloomy, and depressing all the same as Saitama tried to push the aura's away from his being, as he was to familiar with these feelings, these emotions.

He didn't want to be reminded of the horrible things he had done, he didn't want to care for people, he didn't want to care for the world.

Yet his mind would torment him further with every step forward he made toward the podium in the front of the church.

Memories with every step haunting him, letting him know of his failures further, he wanted it all too stop but he knew they wouldn't.

That was until he heard a small weeping voice.

So innocent, so child like, so helpless.

He walked to the other side of the podium and saw a young girl in a white outfit crying.

What could he do, what should he do

"Ignore it, Push it away, leave it all to me" said Misery.

Yet Saitama ignored Misery as when he saw this scared crying helpless girl, all he could see was himself.

A young boy, scared, helpless, crying for Mommy and Daddy, still crying.

The tears threatened for release but Saitama held strong.

As the girl saw him and looked terrified but then saw into his eyes.

Eyes that were warm and lit like a fire.

She spoke in her small voice "help me"

And with those words, Saitama was reminded why he had become a hero, as the memories a small helpless came to mind, Defenseless men and women running for their lives.

He became a hero not to beat the bad guy, no.

He became a hero, to save those that could not save themselves nor their loved ones.

And like every hero he was here to shine a light through the Darkness.

As he turned to see a giant stone figment of Trigon before him as it was about to swing down upon him and raven.

But it failed as Saitama struck first obliterating the demon.

And with the demon caved in the entire wall of the church forcing the entire wall to collapse as the debrie of the demon flew through the sky piercing the night sky of the book as for the first time color had returned to the book.

And with it brought light, a light that would shine through Raven's Darkness.

To Be Continued.
