Harry Potter//Destiny

"Are you sure you don't like Harry." Hermione asked. I looked at Ron.

"I'm sure. Why are you so concerned whether I like Harry?"

"You're just around him a lot lately."

"I could say the same thing about you two. You both have been ignoring me. That's why I've been around Harry. Because he actually notices me and cares." I stood up and moved over to where Fred and George sat.

"We have a bet going. Wanna join?"

"What's the bet?"

"On Harry of course. Win or lose."

"10 galleons says he wins."

"Deal." We shook hands.

Easiest 10 galleons ever. After he won, I ran up to him and hugged him with a happy smile.

"I told you you could do it!"

He just stared and lightly smiled at me.

"T-thank you." 

"You're welcome."

During the celebration I saw Ron sneak off with Hermione. And everyone was busy praising Harry so I was left alone.

"Open it Harry." Everyone cheered.

Harry saw me and walked over to me.

"Y/n, you open it. I wouldn't have been able to do it without you."

"You open it Harry. You earned it."

He took my hand and we both opened it before hearing the screech and closing it.

"God it's awful." Somebody stated.

After everyone dispersed, I walked to the astronomy tower

Harry came up next to me.

"Should you be in there celebrating?"

"I needed a break. I saw you walking and wanted to make sure you were safe."

I smiled. "That's really sweet, Harry. Thank you." I blushed again.

Maybe I was starting to like Harry.

We looked out at the stars and to the right.

"Oh my Merlin that's Hermione and Ron!" I pointed.

"No way!" Harry laughed.

"I used to like Ron."

"Y-you did?"

"Yeah. I don't anymore though. That was just a phase."

"Good."

"What do you mean, good?"

"Oh, nothing. Just good that you don't like him bc he likes her."

"Oh. Right. Yeah." I chuckled awkwardly.

We said goodnight and I went to bed.

The next couple of days we got closer. Spending almost all of our free time together.

"Hey, if you don't see me at the next round don't freak out. Dumbledore asked me to be your task."

"What?"

"I can't say anything else. But you'll know."

He slowly nodded. "Okay."

"Good luck Harry." I kissed his cheek before heading to Dumbledores office. 

"I'm ready."

I could see and hear everything that was going on in front of me. Harry tried doing a spell on one of the mermaids but it hit me, causing me to be able to move again. But I was still chained down.

I couldn't breathe and I didn't have my wand to help me.

After a few seconds I saw and felt Harry grab me and swim up but I blacked out.

I awoke coughing up water and gasping for air.

"Very heroic mr.Potter" one of the old men from the ministry complimented.

I stared up at Harry, being absolutely consumed by the thought of him saving my life just now.

"Are you okay, y/n?"

I sat up, nodded, held his face and pressed my lips against his.

"Thank you Harry."

"Y-you're welcome." He smiled.

"What place did you get?"

"Last."

"But with your act of bravery and bringing up another contestants task we will award you 2nd place." Dumbledore announced.

I smiled at Harry and he hugged me.

"Do you think that was my destiny moment?"

"Maybe." I smiled. I would like to be one of his destiny moments.

He nodded. "I think it was." He leaned down and kissed me once more. Everybody erupting in cheers as we did so.

"That'll be 50 galleons." Fred told George.

"You bet on us?" I laughed.

"Yep. George said it would take you guys until after the tournament to admit your feelings."

"Sorry George. You're still my favorite. Don't tell Fred." I fake whispered with a smile.
