BAILEY'S POV

No matter what you do, the truth always finds an escape place.

As F.N played on my stereo, I couldn't help but think about everything. Lil TJay had these lyrics that got me deep in thoughts. Not only were his songs just dope bit the lyrics hit hard if you listened in on them. And it hit me, people would only fuck with you when it's beneficial. That would only mean that both my parent's died for something. That everything that had happened to them. Was not just a coincidence or God's plan ...

All these was obviously related to the man who burnt down the store down. And I couldn't help but feel completely awful. Like someone was bashing a truck into my skull , and my throat was a ragged trail of broken glass. But what did Jason have to do with anything? And why was Nate so different? Who could I even trust?

And then...
My mind hit something. Amidst all our problems, my now foster parents had always been there ... If anyone knew anything, they would probably know or at least have answers to my questions it was Josè and Deby. I had been off from them but they always listened to me no matter what. Prodding down the staircase to the dining table, I could hear them mumbling the last prayer of the chaplet of divine mercy. They were a really prayerful duo.

Oh hey sweetie...

Deby was always enthusiastic about anything to do with me. Especially opening up about issues.

Hey guys...I really want to talk...I'm stressed out... And I'm sorry I push you away and...

Hush child... we're always here for you and we understand what you are going through...

My foster dad still had a heavy Espanol accent in his English... always made me smile anyway.

I want to find answers... about everything...

You're talking about your mum and dad right dear?

Yes Deby...

We knew this day will come... Dear...go get the package... We have to let her know...

Let me know what?

Just be patient...

I watched as Deby walked out to get the said package. Josè just raised his lips in a humorless half-grin and crossed his arms over his chest wordlessly. He seemed to be in his realms of comprehension. Whatever was coming was definitely heavy. And I was prepared to take it in no matter what. Truth hurts but it's bound to come out anyway... And after the whole like I'd been living, it was about time someone broke the shell.

After what seemed like a good ten minutes, Deby returned with some sort of parcel, wrapped in white. I know of the saying that goes 'EMORTUI REQUIESCAT' . The let the dead rest thing. But my parent's souls wouldn't rest if the killer or killers were still out there. I had no choice but to roll with life's presets...no matter how hard this was.

I have to warn you it's intense Bailey dear...

Deby...let's not get her extra nervous than she already is...

You guys just...yk...let it all out... just tell me everything I need to know... It's important to me.
