Shen Wei only remember living with his uncle Chu since he lost his mother when he was 8 years old in his burn down village. They moved to make new life for themselves in Haixing Village where he made a precious friend, Zhao Yunlan.

"Good. Local authorities will not bother us then. Yunlan, you did good! Don't worry about your power. It will come slowly since it already awakens shortly after you turn 18. As for Wei getting hurt, I will not blame you since you were not there. But don't repeat the same mistake again. Good thing it was your power that awakened, not his. When I sensed power awakening around here, I was afraid that it was Wei's." Yezun concludes, satisfied.
"Yunlan, as for your punishment for getting my nephew hurt, you are responsible for nursing him back to health!" Chu said with a smile on his face. Everyone knows that was not really punishment since Yunlan is going to do just that.
"Don't baby him too much." Da Quing added and Yunlan straight out pout making everyone chuckle at him. That would be more of a punishment for Yunlan because Yunlan likes to baby Shen Wei too much.
"Oh... Gege. Can Guo stay with us? I don't want him out there without a place. Besides, he is one of six we are looking for. We can find out about him another since its late now. I will be with Wei." Yunlan request.
"Okay, Yunlan. He can stay with us. Guo, are you okay with that? From now on, you will be part of our family. Are you happy with that?" Da Quing ask and Guo Changcheng smile happily. Finally, get got a family.
"By the way, I don't think I have introduced you to him yet. His name is Yezun, current leader of Tengu's Village. He is also my husband and I'm his advisor. He rarely comes here since he is busy over there. Oh, don't worry if you can't remember everyone yet. You have time." Da Quing introduced Yezun to Gou.
"So, now that cleared, can I go now?" Yunlan impatiently asks, doing his puppy eyes.
"Yes, yes, puppy. Go ahead. You must be dying to see your master~~~" Chu shoo while rolling his eyes and everyone else chuckle.

Throughout the night, Shen Wei didn't wake up but rested peacefully. When morning came, Yunlan was woken up by Wei's hoarse voice.
"Xiao Wei! You are up!" Yunlan shouts in excitement and tightly hugs Shen Wei forgetting about all bruises.
"Ah! It hurts..." Wei slowly said making Yunlan suddenly release his hug and apologize.
"Sorry, Wei... I forgot and got so happy to see you awake. You have been unconscious for the whole night." Yunlan sadly said.
"It's okay, Ah Lan, can you get me some water first. My throat is dry" Shen Wei asks.
"Okay. Give me a second. Let me pour into a cup first." Yunlan said and went over to his desk where a jar of water and cup was placed on by Da Quing last night.
"Here Wei. Wait, let me help you sit up first." Yunlan said while putting down the cup. Yunlan slowly helped Shen Wei sit up and laid back on bedhead with pillows behind his back.
"Thank you." Wei appreciatingly said after drinking a cup of water that Yunlan helped hold onto.
"Don't thank me. It's my fault that you got hit in the head..." Yunlan said while looking guilty at his bandaged head.
"Oh, I forgot my head injured yesterday... No wonder I feel pain in my head." Shen Wei remembers while touching his head.
"Seriously you.... Why did you get into fights when you are outnumbered?! Both of you could of have run away together!" Yunlan got mad when Shen Wei said that as if it was not a big deal and couldn't help but get upset.
"Ah Lan... please don't yell... Your voice is making my head spin." Wei said while kneading his forehead with his palm making Yunlan fury evaporate in instant and replaced by worries again.
"Sorry, Wei... for raising my voice... Where does it hurt?" Yunlan said and hovering over Wei's head and didn't see Wei snicker.
"It hurts here" Wei points toward his forehead while making pained expression making Yunlan worry for real, but Wei just said that to avoid getting lecture from Yunlan.
"Here...?" Yunlan asks while softly kneading with his thumps. Shen Wei is enjoying being worried over by Yunlan.
"Hmm... It feels good, Ah Lan..." Wei said while closing his eyes and enjoying Yunlan's hand kneading his forehead, not seeing Yunlan's intense gaze.
When Wei closed his eyes, Yunlan couldn't help but remember Shen Wei's soft rosy lips on his plum one. Their proximity is so close that there are barely inches parting their lips from each other. Zhao Yunlan is sitting in front of Shen Wei on the bed, they could feel each other's breath falling on their faces. Shen Wei is only wearing a light black night robe with his long jet-black hair loose. With his pale white skin, it looks so luring and beautiful.
Without realizing, Yunlan head tilt down and pressed his plum lips over the Wei's forehead.
Shen Wei opens his eyes when he feels Yunlan is not kneading his forehead anymore. The moment he opens his eyes, he feels something soft pressing over his forehead but couldn't see because Yunlan's body is obscuring his vision. All he could see is Yunlan's chest and throat while Yunlan's freely fell long dark brown hair creating curtain over them.
