["Truth Hurts" by Mercedes Jones. Original artist: Lizzo.]

Unique: Why're men great 'til they gotta be great? Woo!

Unique's voice was heard all around downtown Lima as she stood on the festival stage in Grand Avenue Plaza, the largest park in the city. It was the center of the festival and was currently populated with colorfully dressed people from all over Ohio, many who had driven hours just to participate in the historic event.

Unique: I just took a DNA test, turns out I'm 100% that bitch. Even when I'm crying crazy. Yeah, I got boy problems, that's the human in me. Bling bling, then I solve 'em, that's the goddess in me.

Unique wasn't one to kick things off alone, however, as she knew this was her time to generate some buzz. She had invited Mercedes to perform with her and selected one of Mercedes' first great hits, her first top five hit from her second album.

Mercedes: You coulda had a bad bitch, non-committal. Help you with your career just a little. You're 'posed to hold me down, but you're holding me back. And that's the sound of me not calling you back.

Now they stood together, dressed in nothing but rainbows and sequins, listening as the people in the crowd sang along, even the ones who were walking around the various booths.

Both: Why're men great 'til they gotta be great?

Though they were given one of the earliest performance spots, they were content to take part. Mercedes hadn't done much publicly lately, as she was busy at work on her next album.
