Clementine and Louis sat on the large sofa, surrounded by their family members. For some reason, everyone had decided to meet up, eat dinner. The couple felt awkward, sitting comfortably in each other's arms. Carly sat with with Aj, and Louis' parents, the three talking and laughing. Aj stared down at his tablets screen, playing roblox and not listening to the adults conversation.

"When are we going home?" Aj whined, leaning against his mother.

Carly rolled her eyes with a slight huff. "We just got here, don't be rude." She whispered, ruffling his large head of hair.

"Like two hours ago!" Aj huffed, earning a glare from his mother. The young boy rolled his eyes, nodding and returning his attention back to the game.

Clementine laid her head on Louis' shoulder, their fingers intertwined as her eyes slowly began to close. Louis rested his head on hers, gently nudging her arm with his as her eyes fluttered open. "Don't fall asleep yet, it'll get boring."

"I'm exhausted Lou." She whispered pressing her forehead against his shoulder now. "I practically stayed up all night studying." She said softly, tracing her fingers along his blue button down shirt. He let out a soft hum as he listened to their parents talk, not much was said between the three.

"Mom can we go now?" Aj complained, tugging on the woman's sleeve. She let out a small huff as she picked up the small boy, his arms draped around her neck. With her freeing one arm, she shook the other adults hands, giving a smile as she walked towards the front door.

"Clem, are you ready?" Carly whispered, gently nudging the girl in Louis' arms. She shook her head softly, looking up at the woman. Aj's eyes were shut, his mouth opened slightly as he let out a faint hum. Clementine nodded, standing up and kissing Louis' cheek gently.

"I'll call you." She said softly, grabbing her phone and coat.

His smile was large as he walked with her to the front door, opening it and taking a slight bow as he winked. "After you, my lady." He teased, making Clementine roll her eyes with a grin as she walked out the door. Louis followed the three towards their car watching as clem slowly stepped inside. Her amber eyes seemed tired.

He looked at Carly as she started the engine. "Drive safely." He whispered, giving a soft wave as he watched them leave. He let out a sigh, his hands stuffed into his pockets as he stood outside alone.

"Lou!" His mother shouted, standing by the front door. "You coming?"

"Yeah, I'm coming." He shouted back, quickly running to the front door and walking inside. He already missed the warmth of having her in his arms, the feeling of her chest slowly rising and falling. The sound of her soft snoring was truly like music to his ears, everything about her was truly perfect.

Time skip: a few years later

"Louis hurry up!" Clem complained, tapping on the dark wood ramp. The dreadhead quickly ran down the stairs, huffing slightly as he walked passed her.

"Have you seen my keys?"

"They're in the kitchen, now can you hurry up?" She complained, watching as he quickly grabbed something from a drawer and shoved it into his coat. Louis walked over to his girlfriend, admiring the way she scowled at him. His lips gently pecked her forehead as his hands held her face. "Come on, Carly's waiting."

"I'll meet you outside, okay?"

She let out a soft sigh before opening the front, furrowing her brows with a smirk. "Fine, but please hurry."

"I'm coming, relax!" He shouted back, watching as she walked outside and towards the car.

Louis stared at the ground nervously, his hands fiddled with the collar of his coat as he cleared his throat. "Hello Mrs. Everett, I was wondering if- no." He huffed, rolling his eyes as he straightened his posture. "Hey Carly, you know how I'm kinda dating your daughter? Well how about we level up?" He asked, giving a large wink and grin.

Louis scoffed at himself, that was ridiculous. He had prepared a whole speech earlier but decided it was too cheesy, and too much to remember. He put his signature dreads into a ponytail, chewing at his bottom lip and staring at the ground.

A loud honking was heard from the front yard.

"Louis hurry up!"

"Okay okay, I'm coming!" He shouted, quickly locking the front door and running towards the car. "Alright no."

"What?"

"You're not driving my car!" He whispered sternly, crossing his arms with furrowed brows. "Let me remind you what happened last time."

"It was a small scratch." She hissed, sticking out her bottom lip as she leaned back. The dark boy chuckled, shaking his head with a grin.

"Yeah, screwing up my bumper is a scratch." He teased. Clem huffed slightly, getting out of the driver seat and into the passenger side. "Thank you."

"Whatever, just hurry up." She sighed, looking out the window as he began to drive. The houses began to look like a blur, she looked out at the neighbors on their lawn.

A couple and their young daughter, laughing as the father chased the young girl. Clementine envied that, she wanted to marry Louis, and have a family with him. With one hand on the wheel, Louis and Clem's fingers were intertwined. No words were exchanged between the two, they only shared the same small smile. As they drove along peacefully, Clementine couldn't help but grow nervous. This wasn't the first time her and Louis had gone to visit Carly, and it certainly wouldn't be the last, but something about this time around made her nervous.

She looked over to Louis, his eyes on the road and jaw clenched. She couldn't help but admire him, it had been a few years since she first met him, she was still deeply in love with him. His thumb gently caressed the top of her hand, as if he was trying to ease her worries. And it almost worked.

I MISSED YOU GUYS FHXNJD IM SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING, THERE MIGHT BE ONE OR TWO MORE CHAPTERS BEFORE I END THIS BOOK :( THINKING ABOUT IT LEGIT MAKES ME SAD. IVE MET SOME REALLY AMAZING PEOPLE ALL BECAUSE OF THIS FANDOM, PEOPLE THAT I LOVE A LOT. BUT ITS BITTERSWEET IG, THIS IS THE MOST IVE WRITTEN IN A WHILE
