T h e y were frozen in a silent stare from either side of the kitchen island. Elijah said nothing. Olivia grinned

And in about two seconds Lana was about to knock this heffa out.

"I said, tell me this is a joke, Elijah" she spat through gritted teeth, her eyes narrowing on Olivia

"No it's not, but it is funny as hell" Olivia snickered. This bitch had a death wish.

"You wanna tell me what's so funny about this?" Lana seethed, inching closer and Olivia's grin dimmed

"What it's not like you're going to fight me" She sneered, crossing her arms over her chest

They were an inch apart. And Lana had never been in a fight before. But she knew she could take her.

"Try me" Lana dared, her fists tightening.

"That's enough" Elijah intervened, standing between them both

"Leave Olivia," he said simply "we're done here"

"What?" she laughed dryly "You're not serious--"

"I said leave, Olivia" he warned "I won't tell you again"

"You two are fucking ridiculous" she scoffed, looking over his shoulder at Lana standing behind him

"It's not my fault he didn't tell you, sis" and with that, she was gone

And she was right.

Before Elijah could attempt to say anything Lana was gone too, making her way upstairs. She grabbed her phone she had left in his bedroom and when she spun around he was standing behind her.

When she reached for the door, he shut it. Lana's eyes narrowed

"Open that door right now"

"I'm not letting you leave like this" he denied

"You can't hold me hostage."

"No?" He challenged

"You think I won't walk past you, pack my stuff and leave this house right now?"

"Not without letting me explain first."

"Explain?" She almost laughed "You should've explained when I asked you the first hundred times"

"I get that your upset. Olivia is--"

"No" Lana snapped, trying not to scream and wake his parents in the other room

"This isn't Olivia. This is you. You didn't tell me. You lied to me" she said, making another attempt to the door, he blocked it with his body this time
