Ian was appalled at the news of Mr. Walker. Nathan still wasn't home. He knew that his acquaintance had been a huge dingle and acted like there were no consequences to his deed, but Ian couldn't quite soothe his conscience. Something's terribly wrong.

He got in trouble, didn't he?

Ian knew what Nathan was up to last night. Nathan's brilliant plan was that if he can't get his vengeance with violence, destruction would suffice. Ian, an intellectual, thought this to be immensely idiotic. It would only lead to more trouble, and it would seem that he was right.

It was then, he decided, he went to the bakery. Perhaps, he could get himself a drink and a few treats before he searches for any sign of Nathan. Perhaps, he could put an end to all of this.

"Again, I apologize for my friend's actions, miss," he told the baker's girlfriend, who only gave him a soft smile. Ian watched as she continued to clean up the treats of a previous customer of the table before him.

Despite feeling compelled to stay silent, he grew concerned at the sight of the bandage on her forehead. "Is your head alright?" he asked once more. The young woman went silent for a moment, but she soon spoke. "It hurts from time to time, but I'll be fine," she assured him, but Ian sensed a tinge of uncertainty.

Before he could say anything else, the baker in pastels approached them with a paper bag and a cup of fresh caffeine. "Chocolate muffin and black coffee, correct?" the words were said in a tone of gritted fury. Ian could sense the man's anger, so he complied to avoid further tensions.

The minute he held out for the cup, however, a little bit of steaming coffee was not-so-subtly spilt onto him. Ian hissed in pain. Oliver let out a gasp as genuine as a plastic Barbie doll. "You best be careful, now," he told Ian, "You wouldn't want to get hurt."

Ian was now a raging volcano waiting to erupt. "I will," he grits to the pastel rainbow puke before him.

The young man soon realized something though. The crazed eyes of Oliver Kirkland were unnerving. Whether or not Oliver had something to do with the disappearance of Nathan, Ian still didn't believe that this man was stable. He should be put away.

Ah, but no one would believe you, his inner thoughts protested. There's no proof that can lock this man away.

So, it seemed that there was one choice left—at least for the betterment of everyone else. If Kirkland's bakery were to be gone, then he would move away, right?

The young man reached the back of the bakery whilst on his way. There were a line of small windows on the north side of the walls. It must've been for extra ventilation, Ian assumed. It was difficult for Ian to see what's inside, but if he could get the right angle and timing, then maybe, just maybe, he could put an end to all of this.

The night sky was now a canvas of black with a light speck of stars. (Y/N) and Oliver had closed the shop about eleven minutes ago, as they always would. They cleaned around the bakery, as they always would. One factor, however, sets this night apart from the rest.

"Oliver Kirkland are you just gonna keep ignoring me?"

In all honesty, anger reigned over the sea of (Y/N) (L/N)'s terribly mixed emotions. Oliver's actions were beginning to tire her to no end. He was acting like a complete child at this point, and (Y/N) barely had the strength to act motherly and understanding anymore. How can everything go back to normal when she's the only one who's fighting for it?
