Francois Bonnefoy

The sound of shattering glass and the weight of a body over yours was all that was left behind within your clouded memories before awakening to the pattern of distant beeping from a certain machine that immediately apprised you of your environment. The bleeping noise reverberated through your ears as your senses heighted and as a blinding light greeted your ruthlessly, your assumptions were indeed true—you were in a hospital, a rather luxurious and expensive one at that; it was, no doubt, Francois' doing. Faint panicked murmurs in French start to buzz in your ears as it slowly grew louder by the minute your senses begin to heighten. Once you gained the strength to flutter your eyes open, a blinding light greeted you painfully, causing a grunt in complaint to escape from your lips.

"Please stay put, madam," a nurse frets, signalling you to wait for the doctor to assist your situation. Once your eyes became familiar with your environment, it came to you that you were in a rather spacious and luxurious hospital room that was, no doubt, an exclusive private room for only wealthy. Even in these times, Francois had to give you a room fit for a queen, hadn't he? Speaking of Francois... Where is he?

The medical staff came in along with a familiar masculine brunette. Simeon stood back silently as the doctor explained your injuries to you. "Good evening, I'm Doctor Louis Loughery. Miss (L/N), you are very fortunate to have survived the crash with only minor injuries... A few broken ribs and bruises here and there, a minor head concussion but nothing too serious to potentially kill you," the doctor swarms warmly but fails to lift your spirits. "... And what of Francois?" You hesitatingly asked, hoping he'd know who you meant. A look of confusion flashed across the doctor's face as he rechecked his clipboard. "Ah... Mister Bonnefoy... Yes... It's quite shocking actually, a miracle... He received major severe blows to his body from the impact," you gasped at this information, praying for your boyfriend. "... And yet... He continues to live," Louis finishes, immediately taking the weight off your shoulders.

"That'll be all, Doctor Loughery," Simeon then cuts in between you and the doctor. Uncertain, the man leaves the room, leaving you alone with your bodyguard. "You are aware that Mister Bonnefoy is an immortal... Right, Miss (L/N)?" He chuckles at the midst of your worrying thoughts. "But that doesn't change the fact that he was still hurt," you grumbled with your eyebrows knitted together in concern. "If it would help... He's only pretending to be weak and unconscious," Simeon lets you know with a teasing smirk. "Where?" You immediately questioned, attempting to push yourself forward. Almost as an instinct, Simeon jerked forwards, fearing that your condition might worsen if he hadn't done so.

After numerous pleads and threats, your friend finally gives up and calls a nurse to place you on a wheelchair. It turned out that his room was situated next to yours, therefore it made the transfer easier. After finishing all needed transitions, you were strolled into the room with your heart instantly breaking at the sight of him connected into machines. Once the nurse leaves, you took it upon yourself to wheel beside his hospital bed. "Francois? Please wake up," Your voice trembles as your free hand grasped his. His blue eyes fluttered open at the sound of your voice and they softened at the sight of your tears. "There's no need to cry, cherie," he croaks (lol), lifting a hand to wipe your tears away. "But you're hurt..." You meekly cry, causing him to smile faintly.

"And you're safe... That's what really matters for me..."
