That would explain the sudden tears she had in her eyes. Kayla might have come off as a standoffish bitch when it came to Dana and her issues, but at the end of the day, that was her baby sister, and she could never see herself being in the same exact shoes as Dino's siblings.
There was a time where she'd come pretty close to losing both of her sisters, and she was just grateful to say, that she still had them today.
If only Shazam could say the same about his twin brother.
"Dana please don't ever do that again in your life! You scared me half to death! I almost thought I lost you again! Please don't do that no more!" Kayla lifted Dana up by her arms, pulling her into a hug.
Dana hadn't stopped crying since she came to the cemetery, and now as she reminisced on all the times she shared with Dino, she couldn't help, but cry more.
There appeared to be more bad times than there were good, the very last moment being the worst of them all.
Dana couldn't stop herself from crying, because all she had left were memories, and she could feel those fading slowly with each passing year.
Before long, she won't even remember the slightest scent of the cologne he used to wear, or the way he would wiggle his eyebrows at her just to get her to laugh, when or if she was upset with him.
All of those things would soon be forgotten, but one thing she would never forget, is the very last words she said to him.
I hate you! Ya dead to me!
Her legs suddenly gave out, her body now growing weak.
"I just want to tell him I'm sorry Kayla! I'm so sorry for what I did! I'm sorry!" Dana sobbed in her sister's arms.
"I know sweetie, I know, but you've got to let that hurt go, in order to move on. You can't keep holding onto him, you've got to let him go." Kayla said soothingly in Dana's ear as she rocked her back and forth.
She wasn't exactly sure what Dana meant when she said she never got to apologize to Dino. It wasn't a secret that things weren't exactly great between them before he passed, but she, just like everyone else, had been in the dark, about the truth behind Dana and Dino's secret beef.
Dana hadn't even told Dandrick, and the whole situation started, because of him.
Some things were better left unsaid, and Dana had decided long ago, that she would take what really happened between her and Dino to her grave.
She'd rather suffer in silence, than to bring everyone else down in the gutter with her.
"Please Dana, if you can't do it for yourself, do it for your kids. They need their mother back. They need you to come back.

Dana was four months and a week clean of alcohol. She was doing a whole lot better than she was a year ago.
Thanks to Keke and Shazam, who'd been taking care of Diamond while she was away, she was able to reconnect with her daughter almost a couple weeks after she was released from the rehab center.
She wasn't due to come home for a couple more months, but because she showed progress a lot quicker than expected, they released her earlier than the actual date.
