Later That Night...

Deborah and Eric's plane landed in L.A. that night of the big family dinner, Kayla put together for all of her family and friends.

Her house might've been huge, but it wasn't big enough to hold all twenty-two of the people she had flown out here just to witness her get married.

Her parents, along with her aunts were to stay in a hotel that Devante booked for them, while they were in town.

He wanted nothing, but the best for his in-laws, and because he adored his future wifey so much, he made sure to get each of them their own suites at The Hilton. Only the best for them of course.

Everyone else had their own rooms at the house. Shazam and G.I. took the guest house out back.

Shazam had a thing for Joi, and always had since he first seen her at Dana and Dino's wedding.

He was trying to get her to kick it with him in the guest house, but she refused him. He seemed like the type to ruin her life and she just wasn't with the drama.

She damn sure wasn't trying to end up like her cousin Dana, divorced with two kids at only twenty-two.

Joi was a few years older than Shazam, but she couldn't deny how cute he was, but he wasn't her type.

And despite his efforts, he wasn't going to be running no game on her.

"Raaaahhh! Daddy go'n get ya! Daddy go'n get ya!" Dino chased Dae'sha all up and through the house, while everyone else anticipated this dinner, that the women prepared, to be done.

Dae'sha looked behind her shoulder every so often, while continuing to run away from Dino, "haha! Dad-dy you can't get me!"

"Daddy go'n get you baby girl!"

They ended up in the kitchen, where Dae'sha ran into her mother's legs. Dana was standing near the stove, hovering over a boiling pot, the water nearly spilled when Dae'sha bumped into her.

"Dae'sha, get out of the way! I told you not to play around in the kitchen, while I'm cooking." She shooed Dae'sha away with her hands and turned to Dino.

"If you want to play around, go somewhere else. I don't need my child getting hurt, because you don't know how to pay attention."

Dino sucked his teeth and picked Dae'sha up from the floor.

"Girl chill out, she wasn't even nowhere near the stove."

"Let you tell it."

Dino leaned close to Dae'sha and whispered, "tell your mama shut up. Say shut up mommy."

Dae'sha placed a finger into her mouth and smiled, as she looked between her mother and father, "go head, tell her. Tell her, booga. Say shut up mommy."

Dana narrowed her eyes at Dino, the look in her eyes let Dae'sha know that she wasn't playing. If Dae'sha so much as uttered those words, she was in for a beating.

"Y-You better not."

"Don't listen to her, she not go'n do nothing to ya. Say shut up mommy."

"Alright, you can listen to your daddy if you want to, and get your tail whipped."

Dino's dares were very convincing, but Dae'sha had enough sense to know not to test her mother on her threat. Dino would not be able to save her from that ass whooping she would surely get from Dana if she crossed that line.

"You not go'n whoop my baby. Tell her boo, say you not go'n whoop me girl."

Dae'sha was hesitant and also a bit scared, just from her mother's intense stare alone, but she went along with Dino anyway, "you not go'n whoop me girl." She put her hand in her hair and nervously smiled down at Dana.
