*November 1996*
"What time is it?"
Dino ran his hands alongside Dana's bare back, and looked behind his shoulder at the clock on their bedroom wall, "it's almost eleven. You got class today?"
Dana relaxed her head atop her pillow and sighed deeply, "yeah I do."
Dino hovered over her, as she lied on her stomach. Every now and again he would give her these back massages to somewhat help relieve the ongoing stress she'd endured, ever since Bradlee's untimely death.
Most of the time it would be helpful, other times she would cry from the time she woke up to the time she fell asleep.
She'd been through enough this past year, Bradlee's death only added to the pain she'd already been feeling.
On the upside, she and Dino were finally working things out. He was back home, doing the things he should've done long time ago, taking care of his family.
Dana could finally exhale, now that he was back home, and hopefully to stay.
Dino pressed his naked chest to Dana's back and kissed her soft cheek, "you don't have to leave if you don't want to." He assured her.
Dana's lips curled up into a smile, "you would like that, wouldn't you?" She replied.
"Of course bae."
"Yeah I know, but I've done enough of that. I have exams coming up and I can't afford to fail." Dana sat up on the bed, covering her chest with her hands.
"Hand me my shirt please."
Dino leaned over to pick Dana's shirt off of the floor. He suddenly stopped as his eyes began to travel downward, "what you need a shirt for? You can just go to the bathroom like that." He replied, with the slickest smile on his face.
Dana rolled her eyes, "you wish," she snatched the shirt out of his hand and pulled it down over her head.
"I need you to watch the kids for me today."
Dino had his eyes on Dana's ass as she switched her way into their bathroom, "can't."
Dana poked her head out of the bathroom door, "what do you mean, you can't?"
"I got to go to the studio. Me, Shazam, and G.I. got a lot of work to do for our new album."
Dana leaned against the bathroom's doorframe and folded her arms, "and you can't take the children with you, is what you're saying?"
"I'll just drop them off at my mama house."
"No Dino, I did enough of that, when you were gone. They need someone else to look after them, like their daddy." Dana said with much attitude.
"You go'n be mad with me, if I don't take them with me?"
"Mhm."
"Aight, fine I'll take them. But if they break anything, don't be mad if you find them standing outside your classroom door waiting on ya."
Dana giggled and shook her head, "just go get them dressed for me."
"Aight." Dino gave Dana a wink before exiting their bedroom.
Dana stepped into the bathroom and peered at herself through the mirror. She lifted her t-shirt up a little and admired her flat stomach.
She peeked out of the door, to ensure that Dino was really gone, before staring down at her stomach once more.
Ever so slowly, she rubbed her hand up and down her stomach. She turned from side to side, admiring it at different angles.
Pursing her lips tightly together, she sighed deeply.
