They say all good things, must come to an end. But who knew their end would come so abruptly?
He was ready for love. She was ready to be loved. They were both so young. They wanted each other so badly, but life just wouldn't have it that way. Was it...
"Alright! It's ten o' clock! Time to wake your ass up! We got a lot of shit to do today!"
Dana rolled over in her bed and frowned at Shanteah, "Shanteah, how in the hell did you get in my house? And could you please stop yelling? My kids are asleep."
"No, they not, I woke 'em up."
Dana shot up in her bed, "What?! Shanteah, why would you do that?" She took her time sliding out of her bed, a cautious hand on her stomach and the other on her back.
All of this baby weight had caused so much pain in her back, it was almost difficult getting out of bed every morning.
"Cause girl, we got things to do."
"Like what?" Dana asked, her arms folded.
"Don't worry about that, just get dressed, cause child you look a mess." Shanteah looked over Dana's outfit and shook her head.

Dana frowned, clasping the robe she had on, tightly around her body, "I did just get out of bed you know."
"That's fine and all, but fix yourself up at least, we got a long day ahead of us."
Dana followed Shanteah into her living room, "and what exactly are we doing today?"
Shanteah whirled around, clasping her hands together, "do you trust me?" She asked, with a girlish grin.
Dana shrugged, "depends."
Shanteah's shoulders slumped, "well thanks for having such faith in your best friend."
"You still haven't told me what we're doing today."
"Okay, since you won't stop nagging, I'll tell you. I'm going to swing by the mall, and we'll do a little bit of shopping, THEN we can head on over to Tiffany's shop, so you can get this mess on top of your head, you call hair, fixed up." Shanteah teasingly pulled at one of Dana's curls, as she circled around her.
Dana swatted her hand away, "very funny."
"Then, I'll take you to dinner, that sound cool?"
"It sounds fine, but why are we doing this?"
"No reason," Shanteah's sly smile was very unconvincing to Dana, but she went along with it anyway.
"Fine whatever, I just have to call Dino, and see if he can watch the kids." Dana went to grab her house phone, but Shanteah quickly snatched it from her.
"No need, we'll just drop them off at your mom's on the way there."
"Fine, have it your way." Dana dragged her feet into her kids room, opening both of their doors.
Dae'sha was still lying across her bed, her eyes only halfway open, Devin managed to get into all of his toys, taking them out of the chest, Dino had bought for him.
