*May 1994*
Being able to wake up to her husband every morning, was like a breath of fresh air to Dana. This was a rarity, and though she wasn't quite use to his presence yet, she learned to cherish the moments spent with him.
Anything could happen, like him moving back to Miami only to not return for more than a few months, maybe a year.
She needed to focus on the now.
"Hey boo."
"Hey."
Dino climbed onto the couch, Dana was stretched out on, and snuggled up close to her chest.
Dana planted her lips onto his forehead, as she played in his curls and intertwined her fingers with his own. Dino was so exhausted, just being up under Dana had him ultimately relaxed.
"Where you coming from?"
"Studio," Dino simply put.
"You seem exhausted."
Dino buried his face further into Dana's chest, they felt just like pillows to him. The combination of that and Dana's fingers in his hair, made him drift in and out of sleep.
"Hell yeah bae, I just need a nap." His words came out muffled, but Dana understood him perfectly.
She wasn't tired, but she continued to lay there anyway and let Dino fall asleep on her chest, this had become his favorite place to lay lately.
Every night, he needed to be close to Dana in some type of way, or else he wouldn't be able to sleep. Dae'sha was just as needy, if Dino slept on one side she was on the other, Dana never had time to herself anymore, but it was a great feeling and she wouldn't dare trade it.
Dino's nap only lasted a good twenty minutes, before someone came knocking at their front door.
Dana was torn, she needed to answer the door, but at the same time, she didn't want to wake Dino. He was at peace, she could tell, because whoever was at the door began to ring the doorbell repeatedly, and Dino never even moved a muscle.
She would've questioned if he was even alive had it not been for his loud snoring.
"Dino...Dino," Dana rubbed his back in small circles, hoping that it would wake him. It didn't.
Once the knocking and ringing grew more rapidly, Dana shook him this time, "Dino, someone's at the door, I have to go get it."
"Answer it then," Dino replied, his eyes still closed.
"Get up so I can."
Dino lifted his head, allowing Dana just enough room to get up from the couch. She ran to the door and opened it.
"Hey Dana," Terrika and Kayla both greeted Dana at the door, each giving her a hug, as they entered the house.
"Hey y'all, umm, do y'all have everything?" Dana scanned the many bags in their hands with hopeful eyes.
"Well we got some of it, mama and Carolyn said they go'n come with the rest tomorrow, and help decorate." Terrika replied.
"Okay good," Dana smiled.
Her baby girl would be turning one tomorrow, and it was her idea to throw a party right here at her home.
Dana didn't know the first thing about party planning, but one thing was for sure, she wanted to go all out and make this day special for Dae'sha, even if the baby wouldn't remember it when she got older.
A child's first birthday was a really big deal, since she and Dino were blessed with a precious little girl, they were both set on throwing a princess themed party.
