Visiting a hospital can be a very traumatic experience for anyone, depending on what they are there for. In Dino's case, it was like being inside of a prison, one that he didn't mind walking out of.

His daughter on the other hand, never got that chance.

He hated it here.

Especially knowing that he could get up and leave whenever he wanted, while his daughter could not.

He wouldn't wish this pain on anyone, not even his worst enemy.

The hardest part of all, was having to walk inside of the coldest most isolated room of the entire hospital, the NICU.

He'd been here more times than he could count, and still felt the exact same way he did, the first time around. This was something he could never truly get used to.

The only type of contact he could have with his daughter was through a glass with a little hole, in which he could only stick his hand through to pet her hand, and if he couldn't do that, he simply would just talk to her or sing to her.

He knew she liked that, because of how she reacted to it.

He just loved the reactions he would get from her, whenever she heard his voice.

That father and daughter bond, he so desperately wanted, happened in a matter of a few days. Though he could not hold his daughter like he often prayed for, he never felt closer to her.

Sometimes he wondered how he could be so strong, at a time like this, then he had to remind himself that the God he served, could do all things, including get him through this hard time.

God would never put nothing on him that he couldn't bear, that is how he was able to get up every single day and look his daughter in the face. Regardless of how hard it was.

He wished that he could pass that same amount of strength onto Dana. Because she'd been bedridden at home for a week or so, she didn't get the privilege to bond with Diamond, like Dino had.

Thus making this situation an even tougher one for her. She got to see her daughter only once since she was born, and that was before her own release from the hospital.

She hadn't been back to see her since then.

Even then did she not realize, how hard of a pill it would be to swallow, when she finally did get to see and feel her baby, given the state she was in.

She didn't cry.

She wasn't even sure if she could, considering she had such trouble finding her breath.

Unlike Dino, she didn't linger over the isolette, instead she found a seat, a couple feet away and just sat there, as Dino conjured up a one way conversation with his daughter.

He did this every single day.

Though she listened to him, she never said a single word, nor did she move from that very spot.

Dino started it off the same everyday, with both of his hands over the isolette, his head bowed and eyes closed, he said a prayer for his daughter, himself, Dana, and his entire family.

"Lord, I just want to thank You. I want to thank You for Your grace, I want to thank You for Your favor, and for Your ever growing love, that You shower me with every single day. Ya never left me when I needed You most, and for that I am so grateful."

Dana's eyes traveled from her lap, towards the window, leading to the hallways of the hospital. She'd suddenly gotten the urge to run out of there, yet her feet would not move.
