"I'm so proud of you baby, mama's big girl is feeding herself, and finally sitting at the grownup table."

Because Kaiyah was so little, Shazam had to place a couple of books on the chair for her to sit on. Either that, or she would've had to sit at the kiddie table, which she refused to do if Bj didn't have to.

As long as he was sitting there, she wasn't moving.

When Kaiyah went to smile at her mother, she ended up dropping some food onto her shirt.

"Uh oh, I made a mess mommy." She pouted.

"That's okay princess, let mommy cle-"

"Nah don't worry about it, baby I got it." Shazam stepped in and said.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah I got it," he pushed away from the table and got up to grab a couple of napkins to wipe Kaiyah's face off, along with the mess on her clothes.

Keke sat back like she was told to do, and just smiled to herself.

It was just a simple gesture, but at the same time a strong reminder of how helpful Shazam had been in the past and present as well.

Rather he knew it or not, Keke was real lucky to have someone like him in her life.

Who knew she would be able to fall in love with a man, the second time around? Definitely not her.

A few years ago, if someone would've told her, she'd one day fall in love with Shazam Conner, she'd probably laugh in their face and call them a liar.

But today, she'd admit it without an ounce of doubt in her mind. She'd shout it to the rooftops if she had to.

She was in love with Shazam and proud of it too. He was the happiness she'd been waiting on, and almost believed she'd never find.

"Alright princess, got you all cleaned up. You okay? Did I get it all?"

Kaiyah nodded, until Shazam started to tickle her, causing her to giggle loudly.

Her laughter snapped Keke out of her thoughts. She lowered her head in embarrassment, hoping that Shazam didn't catch her staring.

"Daddy! Daddy stop it! I c-can't bweath!"

Keke was tickled by the interaction between her boyfriend and daughter. Bj, however, wasn't the least bit moved.

The sight of Shazam's face alone, made his brain ache and his stomach turn.

Life was so much better, when it was just the three of them. Well, somewhat anyway.

He just had to come in and ruin everything.

Now that they were living in his house, Bj realized just how serious this relationship was. Could be permanent.

That was something he simply could not handle. Not to mention, he had the audacity to let Kaiyah call him daddy too?

She had a father already, and it for damn sure wasn't him.

Who the fuck did he think he was? How dare he just come into the picture like that?

With Shazam around, Bradlee's name had been mentioned less and less. The photos Keke had kept of him around her house, were now placed into a box, locked up in Shazam's attic somewhere.

It seemed as if they were doing everything in their power to erase Bradlee's memory, and that angered him.

Bj couldn't even remember the last time he visited his father's grave or even hear the sound of Keke uttering his name.
