until you tell me you don't want to

so i sit here crying
thinking about what the alternative would have been
while you're on the phone with them
telling me to just go away
to stop trying to talk to you
because all i ever was to you was second best
your second choice
and that's all i'll ever be
for anyone
and who knows how much more you'll see me?
i could be moving across the fucking globe
but them going a couple states away
is more important than me a couple continents
and since i'm nothing more than second place
