My dad always used to tell me
That there was a sun in my heart
And that i have to let it shine
Beyond clouds that might block it
That my sun can brighten everyone else
And even shine through their clouds
He told me that i was a superhero
And that my power was my resilience
And i used to listen
It used to work
But now my sun has burned out
I'm overcome with clouds
I'm no longer a superhero
I've become the villain in my own story
People ask me all the time if I'm ok
Bc they too see
How the light has burned out
My clouds now radiate
I blur everyone around me with the fog inside me
Maybe if I'm gone
The sky's will clear for everyone else
My sun is already gone
My power has become my weakness
It's over
