Her shoulders are no longer pushed back
Her head hangs low
She's close to the ground
But somehow she makes herself closer
You look into her eyes
And all that's left to see is her pain
Her eyes are puffy
From last nights tears
She spends most of class in the bathroom
Hiding from reality
Behind a pink stall door
As the tears blur her vision
It's summer time
But all she can bring herself to wear
Is sweats and hoodies
To hide her scars
She's not who she used to be
She used to have friends
Now she's isolated
She used to be smart
Now she's distracted
She used to be loving
Everyone wanted to be around her
But now she sits here alone
Writing this poem
Instead of in class
Sitting with her friends
She's terrified of love
But why shouldn't she be
When the one person she's loved
Was finally the last to leave
And now she's alone
Forever
Because she's not the same girl
Nobody knows her anymore
But they don't care either
