Graces announcement party

The two of us go through the gates and into the city. "You know I've never seen Grace smile. She just kinda stares" jace says. "She hasn't very much" I tell him. "I wish I could see it" he says. "You will" I tell him.

I hope she doesn't have to leave forever but until we know it's safe enough for her to come back.

When we get to the lightwoods we knock on the door. Alec opens it and asks "why would you ask them to plan that party?" We walk inside and he closes the door. "Because neither of us know how to throw or plan a party. Isabelle did the coronation and that party. Magnus did it like once a week in New York" jace says. "Well ever since you asked them to do this party they have both been talking nonstop and planning nonstop about this party" Alec says. "You're welcome" jace says. "Why are you two even here? I know you didn't just come so my idiot parabatai could annoy me" Alec asks. "Unfortunately no. Magnus sent us to get some bed for Grace for tonight's party" I tell him. "Yeah it's in the attic. It's small and light enough for only one person to have to carry" Alec tells us. "Okay" I say. I collapse on the couch. "Gee Thanks for getting it instead" jace says. I shoo him away with my hands. Jace sticks his tongue out at me and I return it. He goes up to the attic to get Graces little bed for later.

When they come back downstairs jace has the small wooden crib. Jace sets it down on the floor. "Alec, there's something we need to tell you" I tell Alec. "What is it" he asks. Jace and alec both sit down in here with me.

"We are having to put Grace in hiding" I tell him. "What do you mean" he asks. "She means that Grace is going away. We are not sure for how long but she is leaving and is going to be raised like Clary was, like a mundane" jace says. "What? Why" Alec asks. "The seelie queen wants Grace still. She is going to attack the castle in June if we don't hand her Grace. We are putting our daughter in hiding in a place the seelie queen would never look to find Grace" jace tells Alec. "So what, is clary's mom going to raise little Grace" Alec asks. "As good as she would be at that, no it's not her. It's no one in our family" I tell him. "Oh" Alec says. "Yeah" me and jace both say.

"Do you guys really want to do this" alec asks. He is trying ro talk us out of sending her away. "Of course we don't" I say. "But what other choice do we have? We have to keep her safe and keeping her as far away from the seelie queen as possible. We wish we could get as much time with her as we can and not have to send her away but it's for the best that we keep her away" jace adds.

"We need to get going. We have to help Magnus and Isabelle however we can. I also have to try and give Grace a bath. It's going to take a while to get all the glitter off" I announce. "Magnus has her" Alec asks. "Yeah" I say. "She likes the glitter but it's going to take a while to get off" I tell him. "Welcome to my world" Alec says. We get the bed for Grace and leave his house.

Jace sets it down when we get back to the castle. "What time is this party anyway" he asks. "I have no idea. Sometime tonight I'm guessing. I have to go hunt down Magnus so I can try and get Grace a bath" I tell him. "Good luck with that" he says.

I start wondering around he castle looking for Magnus. I find Alice first. She's putting flowers out. "Alice" I say and walk over to her. "Hey" she says. "Hey are you coming to Graces announcement party tonight with Jonathan" I ask. "Oh um... I'm not sure. He hasn't mentioned it" she says. "Ask him. If you are let me know. I want to do your hair for tonight" I tell her. "Are you sure? Shouldn't it be the opposite way" she asks. "I don't care. I've done Izzy's and Tessa's both" I tell her. "I will ask Jonathan if he is coming out of his little hole tonight. I will let you know what he says" she says. "Okay. Hey do you know where Magnus is" I ask. "Yeah I saw him with Isabelle down by the kitchen" she says. "Was Grace with them" I ask. "No ma'am " she says. "Great" I say. If he lost Grace I'm going to kill the sparkly glitter man. "Okay I will go find Grace thanks Alice" I tell her.
