Justin's POV:

I'm not going to say that we made out and had sex and forgot all about it because there was no way in hell that that would ever happen. Sel stopped. We broke off the kiss and she bombarded me with all sorts of questions even though I told her the truth and fuck, I shouldn't be thinking this but it was pretty damn sexy how hot she was while she did it. As for the sex part.. she'd probably slap me- and not in the kinky way. Sel isn't trusting. She's not a forgive and forget either. We're going to have to build up a proper trust for each other before anything goes any further. I know we can, though. I love her and she loves me. And that's the way it was. Forever and always. I sound just like a fucking girl. Truthfully, Sel isn't model gorgeous. Or what we'd call gorgeous according to magazines. She was a perfectly normal girl. And I loved that. She wasn't drop dead gorgeous but she was pretty damn beautiful. In every way possible. At least that's the way it seems to me. "Oh shoot." Sel jumped up. "We've already missed first period." Sel, however cautious she was, let me stay the night. Her Mum came home and put me in the guest bedroom after some initial cold glances before Sel explained. All I can say is that I'm pretty damn grateful Nick isn't here. God knows what would have happened. "C'mon." My girlfriend tugged at my arm. "We have to go, we're already late." I rolled my eyes and got up. "Chill, it's just school." I say. "Yes." Sel agreed. "It's school, the thing that counts for you to get into College." I didn't have time to respond because she was already hurriedly pulling me out the door and away from her bedroom which I'd walked into after I woke up. She practically ran down the stairs and into the kitchen where her backpack was resting and so was her mother. Hadley raised an eyebrow. "Glad you two are finally ready to go to school." she said. We both smiled sheepishly at her and she shook her head, fighting back a smile of her own. Her eyes jumped to Sel. "Selena, honey, I'm glad you're more relaxed now but that doesn't mean you don't have to go to school." Sel looked at her feet. "Sorry, Mum." she mumbled. "That's my fault, Mrs Gomez." I interjected. "I shouldn't have kept her up." Mandy gave me a wry smile. "Haven't I told you to call me Mandy? And Justin, sweetie, if Selena didn't want to stay up, she wouldn't have." she added. True." I mused. "And thank you, Mrs-" I got sent a sharp look, "-Mandy." I said, sharply. "Good." Mandy spoke. "Now get to school." she added. "School!" Sel's eyes widened as she remembered and jumped into action, sprinting towards the door in panic. I laughed and followed after her. She was already waiting at my bike, tapping her foot impatiently on the ground, by the time I got there. She raised an eyebrow at my grinning but quickly dismissed it and gestured for me to start the bike. I debated whether or not to irritate her a bit about the school thing but one look at my girlfriend's face and I decided against it. I hopped on the bike and felt her follow suit soon after, wrapping her arms around my waist, and sighing so that her hot breath hit me and I resisted the urge to forget school and take her somewhere else. The bike started and we were off. One reason why I loved my bike was because of the way the wind hit my face and it was a rush of adrenaline. Every single time. The other, of course, was the feeling of Sel's arms wrapped tightly around me. We were at school in practically no time at all. I got off and helped her off as well, throwing my arm around her shoulders once the deed was done. She shot me an amused smile at the gesture but relaxed against my hold all the same. Walking past the gates, whispers were going around because, frankly, we'd been broken up only yesterday and Sel had only punched Melissa four days ago. No doubt, rumours were spreading, these students really had nothing better to do. I suppose we were just inside the building when we were confronted. "What the hell?" Nicole Sanders demanded. "What the fuck is going on?" she said. "Nicole-" Sel tried to say but was cut off. I looked back and forth between the two of them. What exactly had I missed these few days? Almost as if she heard my thoughts, Nicole's head snapped in my direction and her eyes flared. I instinctively backed up. "What the fuck are you playing at Justin Bieber?" she snarled. "Stay away from my best friend." she said. "Nicole-" Sel tried again. "You took him back?" Nicole asked Sel incredulously. "After he cheated on you?" she added. "Nicole-" Sel tried. "And you!" the blonde girl turned to me. "How dare you. How dare you toy with her." she screamed. "Nicole, could you please just-" Sel tried, then she slapped me. Nicole Sanders slapped me straight across the face. "What the fuck?" I shouted. "Nicole." Sel exploded. "He didn't cheat!" she screamed. "He what?" Nicole's head whipped round to face her. "He didn't cheat." Sel repeated. "Melissa set him up." she added. "Oh.." Nicole muttered then looked at me. "Sorry." she said, sheepily. I rubbed my cheek and glared. "Yeah, okay. Someone tell me what's going on here?" Sel and Nicole exchanged glances then looked back at me. "Well.." Sel started. "You might find this surprising but before Melissa, Nicole and I were best friends-" she started. "I know." I blurted out. Sel's dark brown eyes narrowed. "What do you mean, you know?" I scratched the back of my neck. "Nick may or may not have told me." I say. "He's dead." Sel muttered. "But never mind that. Turned out that Melissa had been manipulating both of us, so we're friends again." she finished. "Right." I responded slowly. "So does that mean she's going to be hanging out with us from now on?" I ask. "I knew you were stupid." Nicole mumbled. "Just didn't think you were this stupid." she said. "Shut it, blondie." I snapped. "Keep you're thoughts to yourself." she said. "Jesus." Sel exclaimed. "Could you two do me a favour and not argue? I'd like to hang out with my friend and my boyfriend, thank you very much." I smirked. "I know." she whacked my shoulder. "Shut up." she said. "This isn't going to be a piece of cake." Nicole sighed. "Because you're an asshole and I don't like you a whole lot but I'll deal with it." said, Nicole. "The feeling's mutual," I replied. Sel looked at us both then shook her head. "I guess that's as good a bargain as I can get." Nicole glanced down at her watch then looked at Sel. "Listen, I've gotta go. I'll see you later." The girls did a quick side-hug thing and waved before Nicole walked off. I stared at Sel while she waved back at her and grinned. "Finally." I yanked her closer to me, spinning her around to face me. "I have you all to myself." I say. "You had me all to yourself less than an hour ago." she laughed. "We were in your house." my eyes lowered to her lips. "And your Mum was there." Sel stood up on her toes and brushed her lips against my ear, making me shudder. "We're in school now." The urge to kiss her was getting harder to quell. "There's no one here." she pulled back and grinned. "What do you want to do?" she asked. "What I've wanted to do for a while." I rasped and crashed my lips to hers. She instantly wrapped her hands around my neck to deepen the kiss and I groaned as she shaped her lips to mine. For someone who hasn't kissed a whole lot, she sure as hell was good at it. I wrapped my arms around her waist and coaxed her mouth open. She opened up and she slipped her tongue into my own mouth and I groaned again, loving the taste of her. Then, all to quickly, she pulled away and glanced around her, a huge smile spread across her face and I was glad to be the one that put it there. "We'd better get to class." she spoke breathlessly. "Let's just skip." I tightened my arms around her. She brushed her hair out of her face. "Not today, we have to go." I sighed and pulled away reluctantly. "Fine, but I expect to finish this soon." she grinned. "Don't worry, we will." I raised an eyebrow. "Kinky Sel, I like it." she rolled her eyes and punched me playfully on the arm before leaving one last chaste kiss on my lips before turning to walk away. She was halfway down the hall and I was still smiling like an idiot after her. "Hey Sel?" I called after her. She turned, eyebrows raised in questioning. "I love you." I told her. Damn, it felt good to say it. "I love you too." she responded softly, her eyes shining. Then she gave me one last, breathtaking smile and walked away. How I loved to hear her say it.

I slammed my locker shut with so much force it almost broke off. Sel walked up with an amused and slightly worried expression on her face and I knew she was wondering what was wrong. "What's up?" she asked. "Dad called." I said through gritted teeth. "The ovary donator's moved up the court date." I say. "She what?" Sel frowned, all signs of amusement gone. "For when?" she asked. "Tuesday." I sighed and pulled her to me. "That's only two days from now!" Sel exclaimed angrily. "Is she allowed to do that?" she added. "Apparently." I grumbled. "Dad's struggling to hurry up the case." I say. "Is there anything I can do?" she asked, looking adorably earnest. "I don't think so." I sighed. "But thanks." I tell her. "I'm always here, you know." she stopped her walking and cupped my face. "You just have to tell me." she says. "I know." I replied softly. "Good," she started walking again, slightly faster this time. "Then we'd better go help." I smiled looking at her, and glanced down to our intertwined fingers. One year, one month, one week, two days; I wanted to experience it all with her. Every step of the way. Because I love her and I don't want to let her go. Ever. But now, we had to focus on my siblings. Because they deserved the type of happiness they could never get from my mother. Because she didn't know what love was. And that was what they needed. So we were going to find a way. We had to win. At all costs. Losing was, and never will be, an option. Staring at my girlfriend, I knew, that she was my forever. And they deserved to find theirs. So get ready, because we were coming.
