Selena's POV:

"Ryan, oh my God!" I squealed. "Hey Sel," he chuckled. "I haven't seen you in ages!" he says. "I know right?!" I agreed. "I missed you." he told me. "I missed you too." I say. "I know," Ryan smirked. "It would be impossible not to." I snorted. "What makes you think that?" I ask. "The fact that I have an amazing personality?" I rolled my eyes. "Whatever helps you sleep at night." I say. "That would be you." He winked at me and I blushed. "Anyways, what're you doing here?" I asked. "We moved back a couple of weeks ago." He frowned. "Didn't your parents tell you?" he asked. "Gee, what do you think?" I said, sarcastically. "Same old Selena." he says, chuckling. "You know you love it." I teased. "If you say so, Selena, if you say so." he says. Whatever, Ry-Ry. You know what I said was true so I'm going to drop it." I say. "What are you doing out of school?" He asked, changing the subject. "She's ditching." A voice cut in. I almost forgot Justin was here. "Oh, Ryan, this is Justin. Justin, Ryan." I introduced them. "Nice to meet you." Ryan smiled politely. "You too," Justin gave him a tight smile. "Boyfriend?" Ryan asked me. "No! He's just a friend." I objected. "I'm so hurt, OJ Girl. I thought we had something." Justin pretended to sniff. "Shut up, Justin." I say. "OJ Girl?" Ryan questioned "Long story." I say. "Right," He gave it up. "So anyway, how've you been? We sort of stopped chatting a few years ago." he says. "Yeah, I had a lot on my mind." I looked down at my feet. He gave me a warm smile. "No problem, we can always catch up." he says. "True, but are you sure I want to?" I teased. "Course you do." he says, confidently. "What makes you so sure?" I say. "If you don't, you'll never get to see Snowball." he says. "You still have her?" Snowball was Ryan's adorable kitten. Well, cat now, but she's was still just as fun last time I saw her. "Yeah," he said. "I take it back." I said. "Take what back?" he asked. The catching up part." I said. "Knew you would." I rolled my eyes. "Oh, shut up Ryan." I said, shoving him. "You sure you want me too?" he asks. "Yup." I say. " You sure?" I ask. "Yes." he says. "I have news." My ears perked up. "Spill." I say, eagerly. "I don't know.. you did want me to shut up." I rolled my eyes. "Please Ryan. Please, please, please.." I gave him my best puppy dog face. "You make it so hard." he says. "To what?" I ask. "To not tell you stuff." he groaned. "All part of my charm." I said, flipping my hair over my shoulder. He chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Sure is." he agrees. "So tell!" I say. "You go to Crosswell High, right?" he asked. "Yeah.." I answer. "Dad said I could transfer there." I froze. "No way! That's awesome!" I said. "I know right, I-" his phone started ringing. He mouthed a "sorry" and began listening to the person speaking to him. I turned to Justin. "Isn't this just awesome?" I say. "Yeah, I guess." He answered. We stood in an awkward silence for a while before he broke it. "How do you know Ryan?" he asked. "Well, his Dad knew my Dad back in College and they were friends. They moved in next door when Dad married Mum. So naturally, we became friends." I told him. "Naturally.." he started. "Hey Sel? I have to go. Sorry." Ryan interrupted. "Sure, see you around Ry." I said. "Bye." he said. "Speaking of which, we'd better take you home." Justin said. I frowned but agreed. "Thanks, I never knew skipping could be this fun." I said, taking off the helmet. "I did." Justin smirked. I rolled my eyes. "Of course." I say. "Can you blame me?" he said. "I guess not." I tell him. "We'll have to do this more often." he suggested. "Maybe." I say. "What d'you mean? I thought you had fun?" he says. "I did, but what if we get caught next time?" I say. "So there will be a next time?" I groaned. "Is that all you got?" I say. "Pretty much." I gave up. "You wanna come inside?" I asked. "Can't, gotta meet Dylan." he says. "Okay, sure. Maybe next time." I say. "You were planning to let me in your house?" he teased. "That- that's not-" He held up a hand. "It's ok, Sel. You can admit your feelings." I froze. "I didn't-" he cut me off. "As much as I'd love to stay and continue this conversation, I've got to go." he said. "Okay, bye." I couldn't help but be a little disappointed. He waved at me and then started up his bike. I watched as Justin drove away and then a thought struck me. I never got my candy floss.
