You took the time to be more emotional and stare at the people you've become so accustomed to. These people hold special places in your heart, but the one the took most space in your mind and heart was Francois.

In all your years, you never thought you would be this lucky in life.

Allen Jones
Admittedly, when Allen tries to be romantic, it doesn't always end as he expects it to be. Exhibit A? This very moment-in fact, the whole day for the matter.

It all started with the birthday breakfast in bed and Allen had no clue on how the eggs and toast ended up burnt when he was so careful to assemble the pieces of the breakfast together. Needless to say, your breakfast in bed wasn't so tasty, especially when he accidentally spills the glass of (f/f) juice on your pajamas and bed sheets when he reached to take a bite out of your burnt toast and suffer with you.

"Shit, " was all he can say as he watched the juice seep into the fabric. Much to his surprise, you exploded in laughter, nearly dying from lack of oxygen as you recalled his expression. "Alright, alright, enough," he rolled his eyes, grabbing your arm to pull you away from the pillow you've been laughing on for five minutes.

His heart nearly bursts when you peeked from the pillow, hiding the grin on your face. "You're lucky it's your birthday," he tells you as he sighs, taking the tray away and pulling out your sheets to avoid more staining. You sat up from bed, giving him a thankful kiss before you headed to shower.

That was hours ago and things took quite the turn for worst.

You two were now in front of a fancy restaurant with Allen arguing to the man by the desk about his specific reservations. As it turns out, the man didn't write down the reservations and now your boyfriend looks like he's seconds away from erupting in fits of murder and chaos.

You finally stepped in, deciding to be an angel and save the man's ass from being smacked to Hell by your boyfriend. "Allen, it's alright, we don't need reservations to eat," you tell him in a soft tone as you slowly stirred him away from the restaurant entrance. "But the reservations!" He argues, but you silenced him with a finger. "No 'but's, we're going to (f/food place)," you tell him as you already began to drag him away.

Admittedly, eating in a fast food restaurant in a semi formal get-up wasn't the best, but you didn't care. Allen at least decided to get you a small cake and asked (threatened) the staff to sing you a happy birthday. A grin formed on your face as you blew the candle, making your wish.

Once the ruckus was over, Allen scoops out a little (f/c) box from his pocket and handed it to you. "Happy birthday, doll," he proudly grins upon seeing your shocked expression. You took the box from his hand and opened it, revealing a silver metal ring with the engraving of 'I love you' and 'Allen' on it.

"It's not an engagement ring yet, just a promise ring, but it still cost me a lot," he tells you. "It's legal money right?" You joked, making him chuckle. "I'll have you know that I asked porkchop to loosen up and give a little bit of money access," Allen then shows you his other hand. On his thumb was a ring similar to yours, but with 'I love you more' and '(Y/N)'.

"I bought two, " he says, "that way, the world will know that you're mine and I'm yours."
