They say all good things, must come to an end. But who knew their end would come so abruptly?
He was ready for love. She was ready to be loved. They were both so young. They wanted each other so badly, but life just wouldn't have it that way. Was it...
Well, two months had passed since Dana had that very conversation with Dino, and she had yet to see progress. Nothing happened.
Dino still wasn't home, and she was still in that same matchbox she called a bedroom with her newborn child.
JustholdonalittlewhilelongerDana,it'llallgetbettersoon. She'd been saying this to herself a lot lately.
Now she was beginning to question if she even believed her own words or not.
"Hey mama's baby! Hey mama's baby!" Dana pushed back the latch to Dae'sha's car seat, threw her little towel over her shoulder, and pulled her out of her seat.
She took a seat on Kayla's bed and cradled Dae'sha close to her chest, while the other three finished getting ready in Kayla's bathroom.
A tiny giggle escaped the baby's mouth, when Dana used her index finger to poke at her little nose. She then grabbed her little hand and began kissing it repeatedly.
Just hearing her daughter's laughter, made her heart melt. She was just the most precious thing, she always smiled and laughed, seldom if ever cried.
"Sumo, you're looking more like your mommy everyday." Dana cooed. She'd started calling Dae'sha by that name, nearly a week ago.
She had little small narrow eyes and she was a lot bigger than Dana was at her age.
She had begun to come into her looks a lot more lately. Most of the family had taken notice of the fact that she had looked everything like Dana and Deborah, but nothing like Dino.
Kayla would sometimes tease Dana and say her baby was for a Chinese man, just to piss her off.

Regardless of the resemblance, you couldn't tell Dino, that Dae'sha wasn't his child. He'd taken major pride in being her father, so much so, that he'd even taken the liberty to get her name tatted on his wrist.
The little bit of free time he did have while in Houston, was spent with baby Dae'sha and Dana. It pained him to have to leave them both so suddenly, but he needed to provide for his family.
However, he secretly longed for the day where he would be reunited with them again.
Kayla poked her head into the room, "yeah, and nothing like her daddy."
Dana rolled her eyes, "shut up Kayla." She pressed Dae'sha close to her chest and stood up. "Are y'all ready to go?"
Kayla stood in the middle of the doorway, while putting her earrings into hear ear, "just about, we just waiting on Shanteah, and you know how long she takes in the bathroom."
Dana sighed, if Shanteah was in the bathroom, she knew they would be waiting another twenty minutes or so.
