Bina POV
I needed to explain to him what today actually was because I know that it seems kind of suggestive, from the looks of it. I sighed because I wished that all of this could just be easy. No fuss, or confusion, or miscommunication, just...I don't know...us. But when is anything that is wonderful, easy? Easy to achieve? Nothing to maintain? He looked at me expectantly, and I had no words. Those eyes just stunned me; how they seemed to delve and pry into my emotions making me feel...something. Something deeper, closer for him. I stopped for a moment to gather my thoughts to tell him exactly what I wanted to say, without being distracted by him. I slowly tore my eyes away from his, but then I felt a disconnect. His presence was shrinking, and I could feel him retreating within himself to brace for what I had to say. I felt him start to release my hands, but I looked back up at him, finally knowing exactly what I wanted to say and how to say it, and squeezed his hands tighter. I took a deep breath and started,
“I went to brunch with Nelson today." Michael's face began to drain of his ebullient life, so I tried to hurry my explanation.
“I had previously agreed to a date with him... and I had something to tell him. He picked me up and we were cordial, but I could tell that something was different with him as well. Like he had something to say too. We weren't as comfortable on the car ride there as we usually were, so when we arrived, I was relieved. We were seated when we both blurted out that we had something to say, but I told him to go first. If I remember correctly, this is exactly what he said,
