I shut the door with a huge smile on my face. My dad had brought home an extra large pizza from one of our stores, Starvin' Stanleys. He had my favorite in one corner, pepperoni with a ton of cayenne pepper. This was very rewarding after the day that I had. I told my parents about the studio - artfully omitting how I blew up on Michael (a detail that I would no doubt talk to my sisters about later on tonight) - and about Nelson asking me out. I asked if they could spare my shift and they said that I would be able to go! I was so excited. After spending time with my family, I went to my room for some alone time before going to sleep. Just as I lay my head down, I heard the phone ring. I wondered who it could be, this late at night. I went to answer it, but Asha had beat me to it.
"Hello...? Oh..." Asha's eyes widened with surprise,
"Yeah, she's right here, hold on a second." She flashed a cheeky smile and said,
"Here's your lover lover boy!" I got a little nervous, and my face grew warm. I smiled and answered the phone as cheerily as possible,
"Hey Nelson!"
