Michael POV
I turned over in my bed, legs still aching from this past tiring week. I forced my eyes open to check the time,"10: 30 A.M." I read in my head. I peeled myself up from my bed because I knew I would end up as a taco in my sheets for the rest of the day. I walked to the bathroom and washed my face and brushed my teeth and got ready for the day in general. The faded dry erase marker in the corner of my mirror read,
"Date Saturday," and all the ache in my body drained, and in its place endorphins filled me. Today was the DAY. Finally the day. I still hadn't planned where we were going. My mother would know exactly what to do. At that thought, a heaviness weighted my heart, but I had to push it aside. Then it came to me,
"Diana!" I whispered. I needed to call her, but I wanted to see Bina first. I tried to walkie talkie her, but she didn't answer. I wanted to call, but I didn't want to bug her. I busied myself with different ideas for the date while I waited to ring again. Out of my window, I saw Nelson's powder blue car come down the road, and out stepped Bina and Nelson. I felt as if an eighteen wheeler had just run into my stomach. "What is this? Why?" I asked myself. Then my thoughts flew back to last week when I cradled her in my arms and felt the pressure of her lips against mine... I told her that I wanted her, but she said nothing. Maybe I was too late... Maybe he got to her first, or maybe... she chose him. I had to know.
