I will always love you chapter: 31 Michael POV

I stood outside for quite some time then headed upstairs and got ready to hit the sack. I was laying in bed when a familiar soft yellow light spilled into my room. I got up and looked out of my window and saw Bina looking out over the city again. I waved to her this time and she saw me.

"Hello there!" She yelled.

"Shh! Its late!" It was past ten o'clock and she was yelling! But I liked it in a way. I had to laugh at her spontaneity. I started to say something to her but she stopped me mid sentence saying,

"I can't hear what you're saying, all I hear is 'ahblablah'." I had a solution. "Wait there!" I went back into my room and dug through my closet until I found them, My old walkie talkies. I went back to the window and said,

"Go long!" I chucked one of the walkie talkies to her, but she wasn't ready for it. It hit her balcony floor and made a lot of noise. We were stunned at first, and we listened to see if anyone woke up. When the coast was clear, she picked up the walkie talkie.

"*static* ahoy there!" She said.

"Aye matie, you're supposed to say over, over."

"Oops! Sorry there capitán!" She said in a voice that sounded like Nelson's. He had played and sang multiple songs throughout the day, but 'La Bamba' was by far the funniest. I chuckled at her imitation. She then spoke with more seriousness,

"You know, he asked me out this saturday..." That brought a knot up into my throat. I mustered all of my courage to ask,

"Well... are you going?"

There was a pause and then the crackled came through,

"Are you kidding? You think I would blow off a night with THE coolest kid in town, just to hang with Nelson? Nah, ain't happening." I felt a mixture of serious excitement, embarrassment and mostly surprise that she thinks I'm... cool.

"Good." I said in the calmest voice I could.

"So how was your day?" I asked her. "Other than Nelson sticking to me like an old man's cloying cologne, I had fun." I was kind of glad that she told me she didn't like him; it made me finally relax about the topic. She continued.

"There were so many people wanting my attention that I almost felt like you!"

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"You of all people know... I felt almost famous. Is that weird to think?"

"No I don't think so. If you're planning on being famous, that was only an internship." We laughed, but I could tell in the tone of her voice that she had something more serious on her mind.
