4.Quest+Love

The sun rays filtered through the blinds of the window beside Lucy's face,waking the beautiful blonde up.She sat on her bed,pushing the duvet to one slide and sliding her feet out from under.

Her barefoot touched the soft material of the beige carpet.Lucy stretched up and reached for toes then,stood back up again.

She then snapped her fingers,a golden light illuminating her figure,changing her nightgown into that of a beautiful white lace dress.Lucy went into the toilet,and stared at herself in the mirror.She looked absolutely horrid.With tear streaks down her face and her eyes red and puffy.She turned the tap causing water to run down.She placed her hands under,as she started to wash her face.

She then looked up at her reflection in the mirror and thought to herself why she even bothered caring for those around her when they didn't care for her in the very least.She wondered why she tried so hard to impress.Why she ever tried trying to get everyone to love her.Her attempts were futile and yet,she still tried.She was hopeful.Hopeful that humans weren't as selfish as other beings claimed them to be.For the longest time,Lucy had hoped to change her perspective in humans.She hoped that they would give her hope in the future of humanity.

And yet,Lucy thought of herself as selfish.She had always thought that humans were selfish but then again,she was-is selfish.She cared not for humans and vowed to never let them take her heart away again.She vowed then and there that she would not care for any other human.It was selfish of her in a way,yes.But then again,she was a living being.And after living for millenniums,she herself became selfish.She had more and more selfish needs.And now,after Fairy Tail,she had become even more so cold and distant to humans.

She then stalked out of the bathroom and out of the grand doors of the mansion,her chocolate brown eyes void of emotion as she teleported to Sabertooth,where she then sat down on Jiemma's throne.Watching the members of Sabertooth chat amongst themselves in hushed whispers.

She turned her gaze to the request board that held the decade quest.She narrowed her eyes.The quest was something no one would accomplish.And that was because one could only accomplish the quest only if she was in presence.

She walked to the mission and grabbed the flyer,getting it stamped by Yukino before teleporting out of the Guild.He feet landed on the pavement of the owner whom had issued the quest.With Mercurius towering high before her.Her lips twitched upwards as she walked pass the guards and into the hallway of the palace,leading to the throne room.

"Lucy?Is that you?"a familiar voice asked.She smiled softly as the rather short man before her.

"Why but of course,Toma.The one and only.I'm surprised you don't remember me.Of course,I'm sure you didn't forget about me entirely now did you?"Lucy asked,tilting her head to the side with her eyebrows raised in a perfect arch.

Toma chuckled."Of course not.Now,I knew you would get notice of this flyer eventually.But I desperately need your help.Hisui has fallen ill.And to be entirely honest with you,I cannot bare to lose Hisui.Not my precious flower.I would do anything...just to save my little girl.I refuse to stand by while she is taken away from me like her mother once was."Toma choked.

"So I beg you,Lucy.Help my little girl."Toma whispered.

Lucy's eyebrows furrowed.

"Take me to her."

As Toma brought Lucy to Hisui's chambers,Lucy couldn't help but think that Hisui had inherited Sandra's disease.Her mother had slowly been taken by the disease,death following when Hisui was but a child.

Lucy sighed softly as she sat beside Hisui's sleeping figure.She then hovered her hands over Hisui's body as a soft blue glow emitted from her hands,slowly fading away.Lucy let her hands drop to her side.

"It is the disease that took Sandra away.But..."Lucy trailed off,handing Toma a bottle of green pills.

"This should help.Give that to her twice daily."Lucy whispered as she turned and headed towards the door.

"Wait!"Toma called,halting Lucy in her tracks.

"Thank you,Lucy."He then said.Lucy smiled softly and nodded before turning on her heel and teleporting back to Sabertooth.

Yukino looked at Lucy,shocked.

"You've finished the quest already?In 10 minutes?"Yukino asked.

Eyes stared at Lucy,with their mouths agape.She tilted her head to the side."Easy quest,really.In all honesty,I don't understand how it could be a decade quest."She mumbled.Yukino stared at the extra flyer of the quest.And furrowed her eyebrows.

"It seems extremely difficult,the quest states Perpetua Lillium.And really,no one had ever caught sight of such flower.So,for you to have one,is impossible."Yukino said.

Lucy stared at her blankly."Perpetua Lillium,If you look outside of Sabertooth,you would see a field of it in full bloom."

And true to her word,a field full of Perpetua Lillius was in full bloom.The guild was captivated by the sight as a mix of blue and pink colored what once was a field of emerald green grass.

Lucy caught sight of Electric Blue eyes staring at her intently.Heat rose up to her cheeks.She then shook her head and shrugged off the familiar feeling.Her insides felt weird.Like butterflies fluttering in her stomach.

She glared at the ground.Sh couldn't let herself fall in love again.She couldn't bare another heart break.She refused to ket herself love ever again.

But,another glance into his mesmerizing electric blue orbs sent shivers down her spine as she felt a blush creeping up her cheek.

Sting then narrowed his eyes making Lucy question what he was thinking.

"Lets have a battle!"Sting yelled across the guild hall.Lucy smirked,this was an easy feat.This was her time to shine.This,was her chance to prove to everyone she was not the weak little mage everyone knew.

Lucy smiled."Bring it on."
