dan had just asked phil for some money, telling phil that he wanted to buy a christmas present for him and wanted it to be a surprise. even though the idea was kind of ruined because dan was buying phil a present with phil's money itself but phil assured him that it's the thought that counts.
dan told phil to go and take a walk in the adjacent park, and phil was kind of concerned because he didn't want to leave dan alone but dan had whined and pouted and had convinced phil with a simple kiss on the cheek so there was no way phil was going to say no. dan seemed quite determined to make phil happy, and buy him a gift and so phil just shook his head, making his way to the almost empty park.
people did not really go to parks in the middle of rawtenstall at eleven in the morning.
phil took a seat on one of the benches, the wood was covered in morning dew still, dampening his jeans slightly but he did not mind, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his phone.
philly: how long will it take you?
danhowell: wtf i just entered the shop
philly: what are you buying anyway
danhowell: it's called a surprise for a reason
philly: but i'm worried what if u get kidnapped
danhowell: shut ur face
