Continued from 'Ducks'

I froze for the split second. But by the time I could yell, the tree was already falling. And Lilly was right under it.

"Lilly!" I screamed. I heard her shriek. Everything seemed to fall in my brain. Tree branches surrounded me. I heard someone call after me. But I was running. I heard a huge splash. And I dove in after. I glanced around. I didn't see her. Just the seaweed like branches. I burst up to not see Lilly in her little pink dress anywhere.

"Lilly!" I pleaded. Oh for the love of me please don't let this happen to me. I heard Shawn. He yelled my name. But I had no time to listen. I dove but under. But when I tried to move, I got stuck. No no no. I looked back to see my ankles wrapped in the branches. I went to rip them, pull them off anything. Panic aroused in me. I threw my arms around in any direction I could, trying to get Shawn's or anyone's attention. Though with the big tree in the way, no one could see me.

So that's it, am I going to die?

Shit I'm going to die. I don't want to die, Lilly needs me my sister needs me! I can't die. I guess you don't get to really choose when you leave this world don't ya? Well maybe a few times. But that's not the point. My oxygen was taken from my body. And I was gasping for any sort of it. Though the water isn't going to have much. My stomach felt like rocks and my lungs felt on fire as my skin was frozen cold. I was dying.

Then, I was grabbed. Two strong hands. And pulled out of the water.

Light. I glanced around, I could only hear my heart pumping very slowly.

"Y/N," I heard muffled voice say. "Hey you are going to be okay breathe!" I tried. Gasping for the oxygen making me cough. Then Lilly came into mind.

"Lilly," I managed out.

"Lilly is in the ambulance just breathe," Shawn said. Why am I letting a stranger carry me exactly?

Okay you just almost died and you don't know if Lilly is okay and you are focusing on who is carrying you?!

I blinked and looked around. The tree was down, the ambulance was parked in the parking lot. They got here fast. But also the hospital is down the road. I don't know why I was taking such notice into everything. But I was. I felt a throbbing pain in my ankle and head. Then I snapped out of my daze.

Lilly. Is she okay? How is my sister going to react? Panic flowed through my blood.

And let's just say I started to thrash my arms and scream. And life got taken away like a snap.
