I came back maybe 15 minutes. Usually letters don't get to me. But I don't know. I felt something with this one. Connection. Being misunderstood is my speciality. I sat back down and started to type this boy back.

Dear 'confused boy',

Depression is a battle. I am sorry you are going through it. We don't choose to. I know you don't want a pity party as pretty much no one does. I know you don't want me to say what I am about to say also. But I do know what you are going through. It seems living on California's coast brings a lot of guys who will see you in your shorts and love you but the second that girl in a cheery bikini comes he will think he can have both. I also know how it is to have a rough home. I don't usually tell my writers this but you need it. You are not alone. There is someone that needs you and taking your life might be easy for you but is a living nightmare to the people that actually care. I care. Even if you don't know me I care. If you can't find anyone in the world that cares you have me. You are strong. Very strong. The fact that you have even entered this war explains that. And you can win. Do what makes you happy. It's not your fault about your parents and if you don't to date this girl don't! You are supposed to make you happy not anyone else. That's all I can really tell you. I hope I helped.

Sincerely,

Advicebloggy

Usually after that someone is just like thank you and they never answer again. But again this was different. His response started something I would never forget.

Dear Advicebloggy,

You live on the California coast too?

From,

Confused Boy
