"Y/N help this customer!" My boss April yelled. I put my book down and walked over to the counter. There sat a guy. He was tall, handsome, a grin on his face. I greeted him with a polite smile.

"Hello what do you need?" I asked.

"I need a puppy," He replied quickly.

"A puppy?" I asked.

"Yeah. My mom thinks I need a special someone in my life. So I am getting a dog," I laughed at his response.

"We have plenty of puppies. Follow me," I walked to the door and he strolled behind me. I swerved to the dog section. "Any type you prefer?"

"Nope. Just want one that catches my eye," This is gonna take long. I directed him down the hall, showing him tons of dogs. He dismissed them all. Soon I almost gave up. I walked past to go to another cage and he stopped me.

"This one," He pointed.

I glanced over. The puppy was one who has been with us for four months. He was actually about to be put down because no one wanted him.

"Are you sure this one?"

"Why not?" He asked.

"He is blind in one eye. And one of his legs is useless. He can barely walk. Most people don't want to train him to walk," I explained.

"Then I want him," The guy said. "It is a him right?" I chuckled.

"Yes he is," The puppy barked at him, shaking his tail in delight and jumping on the cage. "Let's get your paper work done,"

We walked back to the counter. I put a black collar on the happy puppy and grabbed the papers.

"Would you like to name the dog now?" I asked.

"Yes. His name will be-" He waited. Then grinned "Snopp Dogg," My eyes widened.

"You are going to name your dog, Snopp Dogg?" I asked.

"Yep," I shook my head.

"Okay. What's your name?"

"Shawn Mendes,"

"Okay," I wrote it down

"Go on a date with me,"

"No," I said strictly.

"Let's make a bet. If I can have this dog walking in a week. You have to go on a date with me," He challenged.

"Okay deal,"

I ended up going on a date with Shawn Mendes.
