Final part

Shawn's POV

I bit my lip. Then the pa spoke.

"We have a bad storm heading towards us so we are going to turn around to go back to Toronto," I felt my stomach churn slightly. I looked at Y/N. She seemed to look as she saw a ghost.

"Hey it's okay," I touched her arm.

"I don't feel okay about this," She said lowly.

"Don't think like that. It's in front of us. We are turning around and going back. Sorry you can't go to your mom's funeral though," I replied.

"She doesn't deserve my presence anyways," She said coldly. I was slightly taken aback.

"You don't mean that," I struck back. She shook her head.

"She cheated on my father. Beat me then left with some filthy rich business man to Denmark. Why does she?" She asked. Her eyes were blotchy. Her voice was solid though.

"She loved you though. Every mom does. Just the matter of how deep it is. She carried you around for 9 months. She wouldn't let you die then. She cared. She probably did before she died but was to much up in the moment," I replied. She looked at me. Then she hugged me.

Your POV

"Thank you," I said quietly. I could feel him smile against my neck.

"Your welcome. You are a lovely girl. When we get back to land we most definitely need to see each other. You could meet my little sister. You remind me of her," He replied brightly. My nerves slowed as I broke from the hug. Then we talked again. About our dreams and lives. I have a dream to help children. I told him about my goal to go with Red Cross to Africa and help there in a year. He told me about life on the road and his plans with music. And then he tried making me sing. I didn't of course. We were over land and not to far from Toronto's airport. We forgot about the storm. Until....

the plane shook wildly.

Shawn's POV

I immediately grabbed Y/N. Her eyes almost popped out her head as lightning struck again and the plane beeped. Lightning struck the plane. Everyone started to panic including Y/N.

"Everyone stay calm," The flight attendant shushed. But it wouldn't stop.

Then I heard the pilot yelling.

"We are crashing we are crashing!" That's when it felt like sand bags in my stomach. We were crashing. I looked at Y/N. She was crying. I wanted to. We were about to die. Everyone rushed to grab parachutes. Me and Y/N trying to grab one. Everyone grabbed one. Except.

There was no more for us.

"No they can't do that!" Y/N exclaimed. Before we knew it people were already jumping out. Including the flight attendant and the pilot. Those little. I glanced around to see we were the only on still as the plane began to quickly descend. I glanced at Y/N. Her little body was trembling as she sobbed. I grabbed her. "I don't want to die,"

"Jump with me," I said. She looked at me with wild eyes. But nodded. I went to the exit. And she did. "Hug me," She hugged me tight. "Its okay," I cooed. I was calm. Even if I knew I was about to jump to my death. "Never be alone," I sang in a whisper tone in her ear. She was shaking but she didn't cry. Then we stepped off. Holding each other we fell. I gave my last words to my mother father and sister. And to Y/N. Wind rushed past as we fell. We looked in each other eyes. We were both scared. To scared to scream. But then we hit the ground. And everything stopped.

The cops found them lying together. Their arms were loosely wrapped as their limbs sat lifelessly. On the news everyone saw Shawn Mendes with some random girl dead. But they didn't know the story. They didn't know he fell in love with a girl that only lasted 8 hours. They would never know their talks and feelings as they died with them. And the mystery would live on as a unknown. But Shawn and Y/N knew as they were falling that death happens for a reason. And Y/N was happy to see her mother again. And Shawn well, he died with his soulmate with a 8 hour love time.
