He admits. He is somewhat fascinated by you.

A fit of giggles echoed in the air, disrupting Matt's thoughts as he comes to see you laughing at the feeling of Kuma rumbling beneath you and keeping you from fully falling asleep. You sat up, patting the bear in assurance. "Alright," you said in half-hearted surrender, "I won't fall asleep on you, Sir Kuma."

Matt's lips jerked upwards in amusement before he could even think to stop himself. Instantly, he looks away before you could notice—you didn't, but the bear did. The Canadian could feel his comrade's teasing gaze, giving even a bemused huff. Thank God she doesn't know Kuma as well as I do.

Okay, okay. Maybe he's more than fascinated, after all.

Sneaking a glance at you now continuing to draw on your little journal, Matt couldn't help but grow curious even more. What were you drawing?

Then, he stops himself yet again. Why does he care? Why does he think to even care?

This is what he often asks himself. Why?

He supposed it was how you cared about nature and the creatures living in it that piqued his interest in you. Of course, Matt's met plenty of people who are much more like him—the tough outdoorsy type who have a high chance surviving in the wilderness. You, on the other hand, were soft, and clumsy, and quite hopeless if you'd ever get stuck in the wild by yourself.

You were capable of handling yourself, of course. Matt has seen you around in the few times he's been to town in the past few months, and notices the stern aura you could manifest, as evident by that one time he caught you calmly but firmly scolding a mischievous kid at the grocery store.

Still, the way you saw good in everything made him smile. There's a sense of purity and innocence shrouding you in spite of the Canadian knowing you were capable of mischief yourself.

Heck, even Kuma likes you. Why else would the bear let you coo at him like he's the world's most adorable puppy, let you lay on him like he's nothing but a massive fur bed, and drag Matt out almost every morning to go to the clearing where you would always hang out in?

Matt always has inner battles with himself because of this. He can't be in love, can he? I mean, he is a lone wolf. He can survive without you, right?

(A/N: *cough*nope*cough*)

He's not in love. He's not.

"Matt?"

He looks up at you, thoughts instantly cutting off at the sound of your voice. His heart skips a beat as you tilt your head at him in confusion. Adorable—absolutely adorable.

"I'm fine," he tells you, voice slightly wavering but you didn't seem to notice, seeing as you eventually returned to your sketchbook.

He won't admit it but, he is actually falling for you. Will you catch him from falling and breaking, though?

OLIVER KIRKLAND

A tingling sensation settles at the pit of his stomach as he eagerly waits by the window. It's silly, really—Oliver can perfectly admit that to himself.

See, Oliver found himself yearning for your presence. Every day, he would open up the bakery, hoping you would come and you did—you always do. If you couldn't make it, you would immediately come the next day with such an apologetic expression that melts the Englishman's heart.
