Chapter 36:

"What are you doing here?" Lucas asked as he opened the door. "Well Im back in town and the first person I had to come see is of course you, ho have you been?" As Lucas closed the door he tried his best to hide how he was truly feeling "Im okay and you?" he asked trying to change the topic. "Ive been good, wow your looking good god how long ha it been since we last saw each other?" Lucas stood there thinking for a minute. "Since like 6th grade what was that like 5 years ago"

"I really missed you Lucas" his female friend said hugging him he hugged her back "I missed you too Anna" he said as he whispered in her ear. She smiled at that simply thing Lucas did. She never told him but she always liked him ever since they met in 1st grade. But then she moved away and never got to confess her true feelings for him.

They separated and Lucas couldn't help but keep smiling, "I just cant believe your here" he said. She smiled back "Well believe it because Im actually back for a while" Lucas was now shocked. "So come on tell me what have you been up to lately?" she asked him. "Well not much umm I joined the basketball team this year and nothing much" She had her mouth open when she heard him say that. "Your kidding me right" she responded.

"No why?" he asked confused to see her shocked face. "Come on Lucas after what happened when you were little in baseball you swore off sports next your going to tell me that your dating the head cheerleader" she said joking. This time Lucas looked very serious and her face went completely white she was just joking but never expected for it to be true of course she had expected for him to date but for him to be with a cheerleader she was honestly not expecting that. "Dated" he explained noticing again her shock face. She looked at him.

"I was dating the head cheerleader Brooke" but he couldn't even finish when Anna interrupted him "Please don't tell me that you dated Brooke Davis!!" she was practically screaming. He nodded not able to answer he knew that Anna didn't like Brooke ever since they were little kids you see Brooke was a stuck up girl that what ever she wanted she would get as a little girl. "How? When? Why?" she had so many questions running through her mind.

So Lucas proceed on telling Anna what had happened with Nathan, Haley, Peyton, and Brooke by the end she was speechless she couldn't believe how much Lucas had changed. "So your telling me you picked Nathan you brother who has treated you so mean since I could remember and then there's Brooke god she thought she was better then everybody when we were in elementary school don't even get me started in middle school and you rather be friends with them then with Haley now granted I really didn't get to know Haley but from what I remember she was a nice girl"

Lucas nodded "I know I know and I apologized to her a while ago and now were friends again and Nathan I misjudged him the way he acts is just a defense mechanism he has to pretend to be the rough guy in front of everybody especially Dan and Brooke has changed from the moment we started dating and now she actually was the one that broke up with me because she knew we didn't belong together and because she know I like someone else and she insisted that I try to win that person over" Lucas explained and once again Anna's heart sinked.

"Another girl and would I know this girl?" she asked him. "I don't know maybe she is actually Brooke's best friend or was her best friend I really don't know about them but yeah her name is Peyton Sawyer" and he couldn't help but smile when he said her name. "You man the Peyton Sawyer the girl that seemed all dark and like a loner but yet was the second most popular girl in school besides Brooke of course" Lucas simply nodded "Yeah" so he finished telling her about his whole love triangle with Brooke and Peyton and how he picked the wrong girl and should have picked Peyton but now he knew that Peyton is the only girl for him.

They talked all night ling until the wee hours of the night and Anna had to get home but sured him that she would see him tomorrow at school since she was transferring to Tree Hill High. They hugged goodbye and then she left.
