Torn Between Two Loves

Chapter 33:

"You could go back to you party Lucas I'm fine walking" Peyton said as she walked passed his car. he followed her "I'm not gonna let you walk home by herself either I drive you home or I walk with you" Peyton turned around to face him, she was not in the mood to argue with him. "Fine then you can walk with me but I don't want to talk" she said and he nodded in agreement.

It was about a 30 minute walk and Peyton was okay with it because she needed to think and clear her head. Not even 10 minutes into walking Lucas spoke up "I'm sorry about the whole Felix and Rachel things" she turned back to him "Are you? Because I thought you would have been happy that I was suffering."

Lucas was hurt by what she had just said but he didn't blame her these past few months he had treated her so bad. "Of course not Peyton and I'm sorry about everything that has happened it was never my intention to hurt you" Peyton knew he was being honest, she could tell he just wanted to be there for her but with everything that just happened she was taking her frustrates on him.

"Im sorry I shouldn't have just said that and thank you for being her with e for walking me home for not leaving m alone even though I said I wanted to be" she said with a small smile forming. Without thinking about it she stepped up and gave him a hug. He couldn't help but smile and hug her back, just that simple hug made him fall more in love with her. How could he have ever thought that he could live without her it was her that he wanted to be with not with anybody else.

*Back At The Party*

Nathan and opened the door for Haley and she sat down and he walked around his car and immediately started his car and drove off to her house. "Why Nathan why did you take my keys away and give them to Skills you had no right to do that" she said clearly annoyed by what he had done at the party.

"Im sorry but didn't you see the guys face when Brooke had insisted on them staying I didn't want to ruin their night by having to go home" he said. She simply just kept looking straight she really didn't feel like talking to him. They had came to a red light and Nathan turned a left instead of a right to Haley's house "Where are we going my house was the other way around Nathan" He simply smiled and kept on driving.

About ten minutes later they got off the car and they were now standing in front of his parents beach house. "Where are we at Nathan?" Haley asked. "At my parents beach out come on" he said as he opened the door and waited for Haley to come inside.

Peyton and Lucas were now walking side by side towards her house. They were having little conversations here and there and then they would walk in silence. "Brooke and I broke up" he didn't know why he said he but he said it. "I know she told me earlier at the party" They stayed quiet but she had to ask him why h decided to break up with her. "Why did you guys break up?" He stopped walking and looked at her. She had walked a few more steps until she noticed that he stop so she stopped too and turned around and looked at him "Because of you, because we both knew it was working out and wasn't going to because I have feelings for you Peyton its always been you" He said as he stepped closer to her.

He was now inches away from her face, she didn't know what to say so instead the only ting she could do was wrap her arms around his neck and kiss him on the lips. He didn't even need to think abut it twice and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her passionately. They kept kissing until air was an issue then they pulled apart.

Lucas couldn't help but smile Peyton was a bit confused still "That's what all I wanted to do every since I met you in 8th grade" Lucas said. "Then why did you choose Brooke when you had the chance of choosing me" she asked still confused about his decision a while back. He rubbed the back of his neck.
