Torn Between Two Loves

Chapter 28:

Peyton couldn't help but shred a few tears. Lucas noticed and hugged her "it's going to be okay" he tried to sound convincing but failed at it. Then they heard the door somebody was trying to get in.

Peyton got scared and hugged Lucas, she felt safe in his arms. "Shhh, it's okay they can't get in." He hugged her back trying trying comfort her. After a few tries the person turning the door handle left. "It's okay they left."

Peyton couldn't believe her luck she gets stuck in the library and with Lucas. She couldn't help but smile because she liked seeing him very protective of her. She had her head buried in between his shoulder and neck.

As Lucas has his head resting on Peytons head he couldn't help but inhale as he loved smelling her hair. He liked how it smiled like strawberries. Peyton had to control herself from thinking about Lucas.

She pulled away from him and crawled away from him. She was now confused because she was almost going to kiss him. She honestly thought that she could forget about Lucas now that she had Felix.

She didn't want to use Felix to forget about Lucas because she really liked Felix but now that she was alone with Lucas all her feelings for him were suddenly coming back.

She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even notice that Lucas was now sitting next to her. "Lucas please leave me alone already." She whispered remembering that they had to be quiet so nobody will know they were in there.

"I just need to tell you that I'm sorry for everything Peyton for everything your going through with Brooke. This is all my fault" Lucas said. Peyton looked into his eyes and she could tell he was being honest.

"I appreciate the apology but I think you should apologize to your friends you know Haley, Skills, Mouth, the guys from the river court, you really hurt them Lucas especially Hale you betrayed them for what to be popular?"

He hadn't expected Peyton to be so rough on him he was expecting her to accept the apology and hopefully talk. "I know I did I never meant for anyone to get hurt I was just caught in the moment of finally being popular "

Peyton shook her head. "I understand that I've seen how much everyone wants to be popular by that's not whats important people think that's all that matters but it's not."

He nodded he tried not to smile at her. He could talk to her all day long. She looked at him "I could tell you that Hale is glad for you that your talking to Nathan." She tried to change the topic. "Yea it was a bit awkward at first but then we seen we have a lot in common."

Peyton couldn't imagine them having things in common. She shook the thought away, she noticed Lucas looking at her "what are you looking at?" She asked thinking she had something on her face.

"At you your so beautiful" and before even thinking about it he leaning forward and kissed her. She was surprised by the kiss and and first she tried to pull away but Lucas wouldn't let her go and she finally gave in and kissed him back.

The kiss was a passionate one, neither wanted to stop but she pulled away when she needed to breath. They looked at each other while Lucas smiled Peyton wasn't sure what to do much less what to say...

SO I DECIDED TO ADD THE SHOOTING SCENE BUT I DIDNT ADD THAT JIMMY WAS THE SHOOTER I LEFT IT ANONYMOUS.

NEXT CHAPTER WILL BE THAT PEYTON AND HALEY TALK ABOUT THE EVENTS WHILE THEY WERE IN THE SCHOOL
