CHAPTER 41

I was about to end the call but someone yelled from the other line. [Grey's drunk! We're outside your house]I think that was Jeff's voice.

[I'm not f*ckin' drunk HA HA HA HA] the other line was filled with their laughters.

I immediately jump off the bed and run to the window. I can't even see them, maybe they're on the front door.

"Where are you? Why don't you just get inside?," I asked. I was leading my way downstairs.

[The f*cking door is f*cking lock and the f*cking maids are not f*cking here to f*cking open it for me] Kuya Grey utter.

Ang daming f*cking naman no'n. "I'm coming, I'll open the door for you!"

Pagbukas ko ng pinto bumungad sakin ang pagmumukha nilang apat. Ibinaba ko ang cellphone at hinanap pa ng mga mata ko si Austin pero hindi ko siya nahagilap. Ibinalik ko ang tingin kina Leo at Chris na akay akay pa si kuya na hindi na yata makatayo ng maayos. Amoy alak silang apat kaya sigurado akong galing sila sa inuman.

"He's drunk and.. being his good and true friends we drove him home safely," Jeff stated and grin. Mukhang sa kanilang apat siya lang ang hindi masyadong tinamaan ng alak. Si Leo at Chris nagpapagewang gewang na din.

"Good friends, huh?" I crossed my arms. I gave them way to enter the house. Jeff just shrugged.

"I don't know who's my true friends now," I heard kuya mumbled. Dinala nila siya sa living room. Napailing nalang ako nang muntik pa silang matumba habang patungo sa sofa. They're all just laughing like crazy. Why do people like to get drunk this days?

The lights turned on and one of the maids came out. "Oh! I'm glad you wake up Dorothea — I mean I need you to give them something to make these guys sober. Uhm? Cold water? Coffee? I don't know"

Bakas pa ang antok sa mga mata ni Dorothea, hindi pa nga siguro gising ang buong pagkatao niya pero tumango na ito at agad na nagtungo sa kusina.

"Thank you!," pahabol ko.

"Well, actually me and the boys will leave now, we just want to make sure that Grey can get home safely," Jeff stated.

I smiled. Kahit papano concern din naman pala sila kay kuya. Hindi nga lang halata sa mga itchura nila na nasa bokabularyo pala nila ang salitang concern. O baka judgemental lang talaga ako.

"Thank you, I didn't expect that you're that kind and concern to my kuya," I tell him.

Tumawa siya ng mahina. "It's funny how people look at us like we're cold hearted and evil. We can't even kill an ant"

"Weh? But you can make a girl cry?," I smiled sarcastically.

".. and that's a different story to tell," he smiled. "I think we're gonna go now —" lumingon siya at nakitang humihilik na ang mga kasama sa sofa. Napakamot ito ng ulo. "Oh.. c'mon man"

"I bet it's I need to go now.. not we," I chuckle. "These guys are wasted"

Bigla nalang dumating si Dorothea at may dalang pitsel ng tubig tsaka baso. "Water? Uhm will that make them sober? I mean I don't know what will make them sober but—"

"That'll help tho," kinuha ni Jeff and pitsel at baso tsaka nagsalin ng malamig na tubig.

Napasulyap ako kay kuya na tulog na sa tabi nila Chris at Leo. Hindi ko napigilang humikab.

"You can go back to sleep if you want to, I got 'em. You can leave this to me," Jeff said. Hindi ko alam na kanina pa pala siya nakatingin sa'kin.
