"The Conversation"

In Daegu

Hyun Bin leave Yejin alone in the garden. He overheard the conversation between Yejoon and Yejin. His emotions was all mixed. He was so furious towards to Jiwon, he also started to get mad to Jin Ah and his self because he didn't know Yejin suffered because of her ex girlfriend, he was convinced that she was innocent, sweet and kind. And lastly, he got hurt and sad that Yejin didn't fully trust him. He wants to be her protector but how will he do that, if Yejin didn't want to share to him her burden. He heard a knock on the door and he immediately wipes the tears in his eyes. "Bin... Let's talk..." Yejin said. Hyun Bin turn around to face her. He seat on the chair while Yejin seated opposite to him. There's a silence between them and no one wants to start a conversation. "You heard the conversation with Yejoon oppa, isn't it?" She said. Hyun Bin let out deep sigh. "Yes... I heard it all.." He said coldly. Yejin reach his hand and hild it tight, "look, I'm sorry... If I hide it from you about it." She said. Hyun bin look at her, "Why you need to do that? I'm your boyfriend, Yej... How will I protect you if you didn't want to depend on me?" He said. "It seems you didn't trust me enough." He added with a sad tone. "Aniyo... It's not like that... I'm sorry I didn't meant to..." She said and her tears started to filled in her eyes. "I just don't want to be a burden to you. And I know how will you react if you're going to find out what really happened that day." She added. "Yej, of course I will never let this slide. And it's normal for me to react that way, I'm you're boyfriend and I was so scared that day when I saw you unconscious, I thought I'm gonna loose you." He said. "Yej, don't defend her. First, she hired someone to harass you, she pushed you on the cliff this time, and what next, Yej? Hyung was right, we need to take actions before she do again anything that will harm you and I also don't want that to happen." He said and he clench his fist. Yejin didn't speak because she felt his anger towards to Jiwon. He has a point but she didn't want  Jiwon's career will ruined because of her. "Bin... Please... I'm begging you to hide it until our drama end. Our drama is her big break and I don't want to ruined it. " She said. "Think yourself first this time... before you worry about others. I can't trust her and I can't feel at ease knowing that she's beside you or around you." He said. "I know... But please wait until our drama end." Yejin said. Hyun Bin let out a deep sigh, "Okay... But in one condition..." He said. Yejin got she shocked because this is the first time that he wants an exchange. "Condition?" Yejin said. Hyun Bin thinks that this is the opportunity to know more about what happened to Yejin and to Jin Ah in the past. "Yes, tell me how Jin Ah treated you before...." He said. Yejin startled and look at his eyes. "Bin.." She said. Hyun Bin reached her hands and hold it before he speak. "I want to know... Everything about you. I want to be part of your life, Yej. I want you to share me your burden, your pain, your sadness and everything because I want to be someone that you can rely on. Someone who will heal your pain and your trauma from the past." He said. Her tears began to escape from her eyes. He stood up and walk to approach her. He bend his knees and he hug her to comfort her. Yejin rest her face to his broad chest and she continue to cry. "Please let me be that someone, Yej..." He said. Yejin hug him back, she hug him tightly and he also hug her tightly and he kiss her on her head while his eyes close. "I love you..." He whispered.

Mrs. Lee brought chamomile Tea for them. Yejoon told her to bring it when he saw Yejin went inside into Hyun Bin's room. "Are you okay now?" He said and put away the tea cup on her hand. Yejin nodded. "I'm sorry if I hide it all from you, from all of you." She said. Hyun Bin caress her face and hold her hand. "It's okay, I understand..." He said. "I cared for Jiwon and her career. And I'm giving her a chance to change that's why I decided to hide and not to tell to everyone her wrong doing towards me." She explained. "But I guess you had a point... You're right, If I will continuously keep it and not to make actions towards her.... She will continue to do this and that." She added. "And I... I just found out recently... That Mrs. ahn, Jin Ah's mother was her sponsored before when she's still studying." She said. Hyun Bin got shocked on what he heard. "How do you know?" He said." When I went to CEO Kim, I overheard their conversation with Manager Do. I think, CEO Kim also knew what really happened to the forest and she only waiting for me to bring this topic." She said. Hyun Bin let out a deep sigh. "How about Jin Ah? I heard, she was bullied you before..." He said. Yejin look at his eyes, "Are you really want to know it? Before me, she was your girlfriend and for me, much better if she stay innocent in your eyes-" She said but Hyun Bin interrupt her. "I want know the whole truth, Jin. Yes, she's my ex girlfriend but you're more important than anyone else. I need to know the truth so that, I can protect you." He said. Yejin let out a small smile and hold his hand. "She's my first friend that I met when we move back here to Daegu from Jeju. She was kind and sweet when we we're in gradeschool but.... She sudden change when we became highschool." She said. Yejin look at him and she try to read his emotions while she continue to tell him the story. Hyun Bin silently listening to her. "She was transferred to your school. She avoided me and ignoring me, at first I don't know what is her reason... But she told me that she doesn't like me to be her friend anymore....She doesn't want me to come near to her, because she always thought that I'm her rival not a friend." She said. "Her bullying began when I won at the pageant here in Daegu and in Whiz Bee (Battle of the School in Daegu) and she was also joined there and won 2nd runner-up. Her annoyance towards me grew after that.  She start to be friend me and I was happy that day because I thought we'll gonna be okay, but I was wrong." She continued. Hyun Bin listened to her and he felt her pain and sadness. "I started to do her academics assignments and I always with her in when she was down and my room was always opened for her, when she  got drunk." She said and she let out a small sad smile. "One day, she steal my Diary in my room. I knew it all along but I just pretend that I didn't know that she steal it in my room. I pretend that I lose it and she pretend that she found it and she forgot to return it." She said. Hyun Bin recalled the day that she met Jin Ah for the first time, and it's because of Yejin's Diary. "That's why you're diary is with her that day.... And that's why I thought she was you.... And she's pretend that she was you." He said. Yejin got her eyes widen, "So, it was you... I saw the two of you that day in front of Cherry blossom tree. I was about to sign a contract for Love in Bubbles but it was cancelled because someone is more capable on the Lead role." She said. Hyun Bin got shocked on what he heard. He helped Jin Ah to be in the lead role without knowing that someone was already chosen for that role. He helped her because he thought that Jin Ah is Jin. "Why?"She said when she noticed his reaction. "I'm sorry.... Because of me your contract has been cancelled. I don't know that there's someone has been already chosen for that role and I helped her to be in that role. She wanted so badly to be om the lead role, so I helped her. I'm so sorry, Yej..." He said. Yejin smile and she caress his face. "It's okay, Bin... It's all in the past now... Maybe I'm not destined to be in that Play." She said. "How about you told me recently, that you're almost raped because of her?" He asked.  Yejin paused for a second and She's having a second thought if she's going to tell him or not. "She planned it Bin... That's why I'm hurting until now... I can't accept the fact that she planned it. And she died that we didn't talked about it." She said. "She planned it?" He asked. Yejin nodded. "She invited me to have a picnic but we went to KTV Bar that day.... I was hesitate first but I trusted her so much. Suddenly her friends, two boys and a girl went inside the room." She said. Her eyes was filled with tears as she recalled that day. "She left me alone with them. One of the guy tried to raped me but thank God that Jae Hoon oppa went inside the room and save me from them." She said. "If Jae Hoon oppa wasn't there, I don't know what might happen to me." She said and her emotions burst out. He set aside his jealousy towards to Jae Hoon. What important is, she open up to him. Hyun Bin pull her closer to him and he hug her. He tap her back to comfort her. His anger to Jin Ah is started to grow but what he can do, she was already death. He regrets the day that Jin Ah lured him and pretend she's Jin. "I'm sorry if I wasn't by your side and you suffered alone because of her." He said. "You don't need to say sorry, Bin. It's not your fault. I'm the one who should blame for being stupid and trust someone so easily." She said. Hyun Bin shake his head, "It's not your fault... Don't blame yourself for being a kindhearted and a good friend to her." He said. "Thank you for sharing your traumatic memories to me... And trust me from this very moment, you will not alone. I'm always here to protect and love you." He said.  Yejin hug him, she was crying but not in the pain of the past, it's because she felt safe and happy with him.
