Rona stood in the garden watering her little seedlings that had grown quickly under her care.
As she was watering, a voice spoke behind her.
"Rona."
Rona turned to see Mina. Her heart relaxed.
"The seedlings grew very well," Mina commented, smiling at Rona as she walked over.
Rona returned a small smile, but bitterness filled her expressions.
"They remind me to be at peace."
Mina looked at the fragile young girl as if the trauma had never left.
She sighed, contemplating if she should translate the news from Joo Dan Tae to the young girl.
But she had to.
Joo Dan Tae had known of Rona's injuries after his business trip abroad and when he heard about the miscarriage, he was in fury.
Not only on Seokhoon, but on every single person in the household, and had punished the whole household.
"My husband asked for you and Seokhoon to meet him tonight at his study room."
Rona knew instantly why she had to be there.
"Is it about my miscarriage?"
Mina nodded.
"I tried hiding as much as I could but unfortunately my husband has found out about your injuries..."
"It's alright. I know that Abeoji is concerned about an heir. It is my duty."
Mina was shocked how much this household could change people like her and Rona.
How much they have grown into a new self. She chose to grow, but Rona...was forced. And that hurt Mina.
"Seokhoon...will be there tonight." Mina slide in the note of Seokhoon's presence. She knew Rona didn't want to hear from Seokhoon any time soon, but this was unavoidable.
"I understand." Rona nodded. "Abeoji must hear an explanation from us."
Rona looked to her little seedlings. Her little memories with her unborn child.
Mina went in and embraced Rona gently. "Thank you, Rona, thank you for staying strong."
Rona didn't reply as her mind was occupied with the thought.
The thought of seeing Seokhoon after months.
She knew, he was by her bedside every night ever since the incident.
She knew, he had wept for her and their child.
She knew, he must have repented.
But she didn't know if she was ready to forgive him.
Her heart contemplates.
As she realised,
she loved and hated him at the same time.
But what was unavoidable was meant to be faced.
That night after dinner, Rona rode to the main house with Chanseok's company.
"You sure you're alright?" Chanseok spoke at the driver's seat.
"Yeah. Thank you Chanseok Oppa." Rona spoke lightly.
She exited the car without a doubt, and walked into the main house.
