Anirudh goes to the kitchen and calls out his maa," Maa, mujhe kuch kaam se bahaar jana hai, aur Bondita mere saath jaa rahi hai, ham raat ko wapis aaenge." Bondita hears them and interupts," Nahi maa, mai kahi nhi jaa rahi hu." Anirudh says," Nahi maa, Bondita bhi jaa rahi hai!!" Bondita again says," Mai nhi jaa rahi hu". Anirudh says faking irritation, "Bondita har baat mazaak nhi hoti hai, mujhe tumhari madad chahiye, isliye chalo!!" Bondita nods feeling the situation a little tense.
They leave after some time. Both sit in the motor car and Bondita turns her head away to avoid any conversation. Anirudh looks at her and calls her out, "Bondita, Bondita yaha dekho" But Bondita ignores him.
He stops the car and calls her out even more softly, "Bondita, Please, dekho na" Bondita turns to him, her own eyes watery. She maintains a stern expression nevertheless. He holds her hands and says," Bondita, sorry, mujhe maaf kar do, maine waha tumpar gussa kiya, really sorry." Bondita pulls back her hand and says," Pareshaani yeh nhi hai ki aapne gussa kiya, pareshaani yeh hai ki aapne bewajah gussa kiya. Aur woh bhi sabke saamne! Mujhe toh keval Mini di ki fikar thi, mai sirf unka dhyaan rakhna chahti thi."
He again holds her hands and says, "Jaanta hu mai Bondita, baat yeh ki mai ghabra gaya tha. Mini ke baba ne jab tumhe uske jeevan ka shraap bulaya, aur tumhe uske dukhon ka karan kaha, tab mujhe esa laga ki tumhe kai tumhari mami ki woh kadwi baatein na yaad aa jaye. Uss din jab tum ro rahi thi, kaanp rahi thi, woh din mujhe yaad aa raha tha, aur Fir tum jaa bhi nhi rahi thi, isliye maine zor se tumse kaha jaane ko." Bondita realises that it was his care towards her that he asked her to go. He didn't wanted the words said by Bhoumik affect her.
He continues seeing Bondita lost in her thoughts," Sorry Bondita, mujhe maaf kardo." Bondita shakes her head in denial and says, "Nahi, aap mafi mat mangiye, galti meri hi hai, aap toh mera hi bhala chah rahe the, aur mai aapki baat hi nhi maan rahi thi. Abhi chale?" Anirudh nods smiling and drives the car. Bondita suddenly asks him," Hum kaha jaa rahe hai?". He says," Surprise!". Bondita grins and says," Surprise!! Arre waah, par kaha?" He shakes his head and says," Arre abhi toh kaha ki surprise hai, yeh thodi bata sakta hu" Bondita says whining, "Par pati babu..." Anirudh interupts and says," Par war kuch nhi, tum ek kaam karo so jaao, kam se kam shant rahogi!" Bondita frowns and Anirudh chuckles. Bondita slaps his arms and turns her face away.
After sometime, Anirudh feels a weight on his shoulder. He looks at his wife sleeping, hugging his bicep. Her pallu was no more on her head, few strands of her hair had escaped from her bun, and were tickling her face. Bondita had a serene and calm look. Sirf sote hue hi itna shant reh sakti hai yeh, warna pati babu yeh, pati babu woh, pati babu, pati babu, pati babu... Pagal ladki Anirudh thinks.
Bondita wakes up when she feels the motorcar getting slower. She opens her eyes and looks up. She sees herself clutching her pati babu's bicep. She leaves him with a jerk and straightens. She looks around and finds the place familiar. Her eyes stop at a bungalow,she stands up and screams in excitement, "Pati Babu, mera ghar!!!!". The car stops and Bondita falls back on her seat. She rubs her back with a pout and Anirudh says, "Kuch baatein kabhi nhi badal sakti?😂"
