Anirudh and Bondita leave from the clinic. He had suffered only external injuries which was dressed well by the doctor. The doctor had advised Anirudh to take rest, also he had taught Bondita how to dress his wounds. He had also prescribed some pain killers.
They sit in the car and Anirudh instructs the driver," Driver haveli chalo, waha Bondita ko chodkar fir mujhe court le chalna." Bondita says angrily," Aapko itni chot lagi hai aur aapko kaam par jana hai. Suna nahi doctor ne kya kaha, aapko rest karna hai, bass. Driver Babu, chaliye ghar." Anirudh tried to intervene but Bondita shut him up with a hard glare.
The whole day Bondita followed him like a shadow. She catered to all his needs. Batuk was very happy with his boudi. First of all she had helped him in school and secondly how nicely she was taking care of his dada. Binoy and Som tried to avoid her presence like always. At the dinner time nani maa informs everybody that she might leave soon. The reason that she came here was done and also, now she felt well, better than before.
At night, Batuk's voice boomed in the haveli calling out for his boudi. Som hears him and comes to batuk and says, "Batuk yeh kya boudi boudi laga rakha hai. Saudamini Boudi apne ghar par hai." Batuk frowns and says," Kya, Saudamini Boudi? Saudamini didi hamari boudi kese hui? Hamare dada ki shadi toh Bondita Boudi se hui hai!" Som says, "Kesi baat kar rahe ho Batuk? Hamari boudi sirf Saudamini thi aur wahi rahengi? Jaane kya uss ladki ne tumhare sar par jadu kar diya hai joh uske naam ki mala jap rahe ho.!" Batuk slaps his forehead and says," Kis sapne mai jee rahe hai dada? Hamare Anirudh Dada ki shadi Bondita Boudi se hui hai. Bass Baat khatam. Aur rahi dusri baat, Bondita Boudi hai hi itni achhi ki unki baat karni hi chahiye. Dekha nahi ham sab ka kitna khayal rakhti hai. Dada ka kitna dhyaan rakhti hai." He walks away to Bondita's room to find her. Som frowns and leaves for his room.
Batuk knocks on Bondita's room where she is studying. Bondita jerks and.shuts the book. They had not yet told anybody about Bondita's education. She hides the book and rushes to the door. She opens the door and Batuk smiles at her. She looks at him and then eyes the Roshgulla bowl he had in his hand. He forwards her the bowl and Bondita raises her eyebrows. Batuk gives a sheepish Grin and says," Thankyou present!". Bondita chuckles and lets him inside the room. They both sit on the couch and Bondita says," Thankyou present? Kisliye?" Batuk says," Maa kehti hai ki jab koi aapki sahayta kare tab hame usse dhanyawad bolkar, unki manspasand cheez unhe demi chahiye." Bondita grins and says, "Achha ki, thankyou for the thankyou present!" Batuk smiles and hands her over the bowl. Bondita picks up a Roshgulla and forwards it near his mouth but instead gulps it herself. Batuk whines and Bondita laughs. She feeds him another Roshgulla. The duo is getting adored by Anirudh and Shubhra who were standing near the gate. Shubhra says to Anirudh," Kitne kam samay mai isne mera, tumhare Kaka, Batuk aur tumhara dil jeet liya. Dekhna, jald hi, yeh tumhare baba aur Som ka man bhi jeet legi."
Next Morning, at the time of morning aarti, Bondita took kaka's permission for missing today's aarti as she had to feed Anirudh for giving him the medicine. Also Shubhra and Binoy had went to drop Nani maa at her native place and they will return next day.
During the aarti the chunar which was wrapped around durgaa maa fell on the lamp, and got burnt. Kaka gasped and tried to put off the fire, but it was very late, the chunar was half burnt. Kaka's eyes fill with tears, he says," Yeh toh ghor apshagun hai, Kya durga maa hamse gussa hai? Kya hamse koi galti ho gai?". "Kaka, chota muh, badi baat, galti toh hui hai. Bina kuch jaane pehchaane Anirudh ne kisi anjaan ladki se vivaah kar liya. Woh ladki ki, aur Anirudh ki na koi kundli milai. Maanti hu ki Anirudh naye khayalo wala hai, nhi maanta woh in sab baaton mai, par yeh reet itne lambe samay se chali aa rahi hai toh galat hogi kya? Kyu kaka?" Trilochan nods on hearing Saudamini who enters the temple after seeing the chunar burn.
Saudamini says," Kaka, esa kehna toh nhi chahiye, par mujhe lagta hai kuch galat ho raha hai, jabse Bondita aai hai kuch na kuch gadbad hai. Anirudh ka itna bada accident ho gaya, mata ki chunar jal gayi, kya kabhi hamare gahr esa pehle hua hai?" Kaka shakes his head in a no. Saudamini says," Kaka mera toh yahi kehna hoga ki Bondita ki kundali aap kisi baba ko dikha de. Wahi behtar rahega. Taki yadi koi dosh ho toh hum use thik kar sake" Kaka says," Tum sahi keh rahi ho, ham Kaashi jaate hai Bondita aur Anirudh ki kundli lekar. Wahi hal milega hame."
Saudamini gets tensed and says," Par kaka kashi jaane mai bahut samay lagega, piche se kuch galat ho gaya toh? Mera toh yeh manna hai yahi kisi baba ko dikha de. Aur kisi hi kyu, hamare baba, hamare Panditji ko dikha de. Kaha jaata hai unhe khud bhagwaan Shiv ne darshan diye hai. Baba toh unme hi maante hai. Agar aap kahe toh abhi le aau unhe mai? Woh aaj hamare ghar bhi aaye hai."
Kaka says," Ha yeh sahi rahega, bula lo unhe aaj. Aur Bondita se uski kundali ham le lenge, aur Anirudh ki toh hai hi hamare paas." Saudamini nods. Trilochan kaka leave the temple to arrange for a new chunar. Saudamini goes behind the temple and shuts the window. She smirks.
*Flashback - A day back Saudamini enters the RC Mansion and hears Shubhra maa yelling at someone. She rushes near the temple and sees Shubhra scolding the new maid," Yeh kya kar rahi ho beta. Yeh khidki kholna nhi, yeh mandir ke piche wali khidki se 24 ghante tez hawa aati hai. Abhi tumne ise khola jiske karan maa ki chunar jagah se sarak gai na. Agar mai na aati toh shayad gir jaati. Agar Lochan daa dekhlete toh ghar sar pae chadha lete. Ise band hi rakhna. Hmm?" The maid shuts the window and leaves. *Flashback over.
