Chapter Seventy-Five: Final Task

Start from the beginning

"Oh, right," Blaise facepalmed.

Blaise was a lover of history, myths and legends being something he loved the most. It was why he got along great with Abby since she was the resident expert of global history at Crystal Rose. So, she and Blaise loved talking about things they researches, often also making fun of the more idiotic historical figures like Napoleon Bonaparte.

"At least now we have a reason to return to Crystal Rose with you guys," Fred says.

"Especially if you do decide to leave this year instead of next year," George added.

"I think that is a great idea," Harry cuddled between both of his boyfriends.

And Melody totally did not secretly take a picture of the adorable scene of the three of them with her mirror phone and send it to Olivia.

The day of the final task soon arrived and tensions were still very much alive between the schools. Drumstrang and Beauxbatons had both openly sided with Crystal Rose, which got them ignored by the Hogwarts students that still hate mystic souls just like how Crystal Rose was ignored by them. Dumbledore's dreams of peace went up in smoke right from the start.

Dumbledore was a good man, but he was a bit of a dreamer. He tried for peace in a world that did not want to change enough to be open to peace. Too set in its ways of hating mystic souls because they were afraid of them. They admired him for trying, but he had a brick wall of resistance against him known as human fear and paranoia.

The trio had decided, with permission from Olivia since she was the one that had the power to officially withdraw them from Hogwarts, that one more thing going wrong would be the end of their rope with staying in magical Britain. If one more thing went wrong, as in another murder attempt by Voldemort or control attempt by the ministry, they would high tail it back to Greece. They were not even going to try and guess which one was going to happen since it was one or the other. There was not a single doubt about at least one or both of those things going to happen.

When the third task was set up, it seemed to visually torture Fred, George, Cedric, and Viktor as they watched the Quidditch fields being turned into a giant maze. The trio found it very funny how all four of them were so tormented by the fields being used that way. Fred and George might be Harry's boyfriends while Cedric is Krinos's, but that only gave the two an even greater right to tease them about their behavior.

After the maze was finished, the schools were called that evening in order to watch over the final task. The noticeable separation of the other schools from Hogwarts was definitely something that all the teachers saw very easily. Dumbledore sighed in disappointment at his plan for peace failing pretty much instantly.

"I had really hoped that this tournament would help them all realize that mystic souls are not dangerous," Dumbledore sighed.

"You tried and that is more than I can say for literally every other British magical politician there has ever been," Jiwe tells him. "Things have been too bad between our kinds for too long for there to really ever have true peace."

"At least the hatred is not in the hearts of everyone," Dumbledore says. "You should be very proud that your students found those that they could truly trust."

Jiwe smiled. "Things used to be so hard for them after Red and Black killed their parents. Krinos refused to speak to anyone but Melody for over a month. Melody would cry herself to sleep every night. Harry lost another set of parents and he pretty much shut down and was a shell of his usual kind and energetic self for a long time. The fact that they learned to trust others after everything they've been through shows how big their hearts are."
