The champions walked into the Great Hall, which had been totally decked out in the most beautiful Yule decorations ever. The whole place looked like a Winter Wonderland. So much silver, blue, and white. It also had some snow-dusted pine trees in each of the four corners of the hall. The four main tables had been replaced by multiple circular tables with nice light blue table cloths.

The champions were mostly a joined unit as they entered, except for Fleur of course. Atem had been a minute or two late because he got a rip in his cloak at the last second when they had been leaving the tree. But he managed to show up with his date, Hestia, before there was too much of a noticeable distance between him and the rest of the champions when they made their entrance.

Now, Atem and Hestia were just friends and Atem actually did have a boyfriend. But he was still at Crystal Rose back in Greece and was not part of the group that was chosen to come to Hogwarts for the tournament. Hestia was not interested in dating, yet, even if she liked to play matchmaker a lot, so she was happy to accompany him to the ball.

As they all walked into the hall, there was an instant reaction from a lot of them. Most of the reactions were from Harry, Cedric, and Viktor all having male dates. It certainly made a lot of girls glare at the twins, Krinos, and T'challa. There were definitely also reactions to how Harry technically had two dates for the ball.

Up at the head table, which was still at the end of the hall, Dumbledore stood with the other teachers and other heads of the other schools. He smiled as he saw that they all chose who they wanted to go with using their hearts and not just picking females like most would expect them to. They never did anything unless they wanted to do it. And even when they would do things, even their school work, they would always do it in their own way. Something he admired about them. They were comfortable with who they were and did not care what anyone thought.

Seeing the couples, and one trio, get onto the dance floor for the opening dance, Dumbledore actually went over to Melody.

"Miss.Gardna, may I ask you a favor," he asked the music mage.

"Of course, headmaster," Melody said. "What do you need?"

"The band that Ludo and Barty chose for the ball, against my recommendation, is not fit for the opening dance," Dumbledore tells her. "Would you mind helping with the opening music?"

Melody looked over at the band that was getting ready. She nearly winced as she saw how they looked like a mundane heavy metal band. Plus, the fact that they were all male and yet the band name written on the drummer's drums said: "Weird Sisters" was very strange to her. Why was an all-male band named like that when none of them were women. It made no sense to her at all.

"I am more than happy to, headmaster," Melody said.

"Many thanks, Miss.Gardna," Dumbledore thanked her and then went back to the head table.

Taking out her wand to fake wand-user magic, she whispered her "Harmonic Beauty" spell while waving it around. Her eyes glowed purple as streams of purple light came from her hand, but looked as if it was swirling around her wand. The light went around the dance floor before forming different musical instruments made from the purple light. Flutes, harps, guitars, a piano, clarinets, and even a saxophone and trumpet.

The music started and unlike what would probably have been rock music from the weirdly named band. And it was very elegant and beautiful music, at that. The perfect soft and elegant tune for the opening dance.

Having decided to split the opening dance equally between the twins, Harry first joined hands with Fred as the music first started and all the champions were on the dance floor. Krinos and Cedric, T'challa and Viktor, as well as Atem and Hestia all, were on the dance floor as well. Fleur and Roger are not far behind them. The opening dance began.
