When Ruth had to go to work, Quinn hugged her and thanked her for everything before she headed home with Beth.
Quinn raised her eyebrow as she walked into her house and saw Sam on the couch.
"Hey." Sam grinned.
"Hi. What are you doing here?" Quinn asked. "Where is everyone?"
"Your stepdad wanted to take your mom to dinner, so the two of them left." Sam explained. "Your stepsister is in her room."
"He's not my stepdad." Quinn told Sam. "They're not my family."
"Sorry." Sam apologized. "I just thought-"
Quinn shook her head. "It's fine."
"Can I stay over tonight?" Sam requested.
"Sure." Quinn said. "Let's go upstairs."
Sam nodded.
Quinn took Sam's hand and led him upstairs. They walked into her room and closed the door.
"We should say hi to your sister." Sam said.
"Olivia." Quinn corrected Sam. "You can go say hi to her. I'm gonna feed Beth."
"Okay." Sam muttered. "I'll be right back."
When Sam walked away, Quinn checked her phone while she fed Beth.
