Chapter Sixty-Three – Where They Finalize plans
Julian's Pov

When we got back to the hotel I realize just how stressed out Bailey was with the wedding and that lead to having words with both my mother and Nia. Bailey was supposed to relax in New York and have fun, not make herself sick and I do mean literally. She was under so much pressure because of my mother she wasn't really eating because she would just throw up when she tried.

So I got a different hotel for us and Mia stayed with them, this weekend they weren't allowed to put anything else on her until we came to some decisions on our own; this was our wedding and our choices. They didn't need to be second guessing what Bailey or I wanted because I was paying for this and they weren't the ones getting married.

"Tell me what I can do to help." She had started a binder and had dividers for everything, most of them blank.

"Are you okay with the napkin folds?" She picked an arrangement of bows to go on the tables in all three colors we picked; I was fine with that.

"Yes. What next?" She showed me the linens and shit I didn't actually care about, but I listened to what she had to say and told her I liked them so we could move on.

"Flower girls; Micah and Cameron are going to be ring bearers." Both Danielle and Kenna said they would be fine to do it. We were in their lives so much they would come to Bailey and I without a problem.

"We can talk to friends and see about that, for now we need to move on." That can be handled later.

"Buffet or sit down dinner?" That one wasn't a tough choice for me.

"With two hundred people, sit down. We'll meet with the caterer tomorrow and send out choices to everyone so we know ballpark how much of each to order." We passed on cake design right now which annoyed her, but we could go back to that, there was too many other things that were easier to decide on first.

"We didn't pick our wedding parties." Shit.

"Crap, that one is very important. Have you started?" That was a big slip on our part.

"Kind of, but I need to talk to you because I know there are important women in your life and I don't want to exclude them." You know, I could never understand leaving someone out of your wedding because they weren't the same gender as you.

"Who cares what gender they are; pick who will make you happy to have by your side."

"But we need to pick dresses and-"

"And they can wear dresses on either side of us. Pick who makes you happy Bailey and so will I." If she wanted a couple guys on her side, they could wear tuxes with one color to match her dresses and my girls would wear a color to make the tuxes; screw social norms.

"I'm not going to pick a maid of honor; I'm just having bridesmaids. It's a choice I made before we got engaged."

"Why?" Didn't all girls have one of those?

"Because Lacey isn't here." Lacey was supposed to be her maid of honor when she married me; she called this from the beginning and if she's not here to stand beside her, then she'll be there in memory to stand by both our sides.

"How about she's your maid of honor and my best woman then? I miss her too." Her eyes instantly welled with tears and I held her as she cried. This hurt me too, but right now she was the one who needed to cry. It's been a while since we actually talked about her, with everything else going on we've pushed back fully dealing with her death still.
